It took a while.

 

“College teams aren’t going to be at their best every single week,” Klatt said. “We were spoiled by Oregon, and they were doing it against a schedule that nobody else had to face. Eight consecutive games in conference, no bye, that’s pretty remarkable. At the end they throw out the one game where they don’t play well, and now I’m more impressed with them than maybe I was before, because they were still able to get a win when they weren’t at their best.”

 

 

Isn't this the guy who had OBD No. 1 with a question mark?

 

Perhaps he sobered up and remebered what it's like to have played the game.

 

Consistency is the hobgoblin of mediocre minds, right? 😁

 

 

I said it before, I think Klatt is a pretty fair commentator, he's given us plenty of props in the past, just because he might have had some questions about us doesn't mean there's an agenda.  Coming into the season I was more bullish on Ohio St. than Oregon, I still think the two teams are about as even as possible.  You can change your mind over the course of a season.

At this point in the season I think we are approximately 1 point better than the Buckeyes.

 

I know that I am going to continue to enjoy this season, as one of my very favorites. but then again I just watched us versus them.

 

I'm seventy five and fired up!

And three amazingly bad calls that made OBD just 1 point better. I will repeat myself: OBD has a coach playing 3D chess against Spock while other teams have coaches playing Plinko. Bring on osu! I will trust Dan Lanning over Ryan Day any day!!

Those videos are simply amazing, and much credit is due to who makes them; the video quality, the scripting and pacing and sequencing of the shots, it's all crazy good. After watching the Wisconsin game video, I wanted to jump around with the players and I'm a cynical old fart. And I thought, who would not want to play for Dan Lanning? Pumping up that song all pre-game week was a stroke of genius, and it paid off in a big way. He's a master of what he does.

At 77 I think it's safe to say that we have seen a lot of change in CFB. Some good, some not so good.
