30Duck No. 1 Share Posted yesterday at 02:52 PM StatMonitr Stat Feed STATS.STATBROADCAST.COM Yesterday's win over No.20 Texas A & M was a great Quad 1 win for the Ducks. Now they face San Diego State, a surprising winner over Altman's former team, Creighton. A few notes, Oregon is averaging 9.3 offensive rebounds a game, SDSU, 7.8. 3 point shooting has SDSU 39%, the Ducks are at 32%. It will be radio for this one unless you have TNT-MAX. Go Ducks! Charles Fischer Administrator No. 2 Share Posted 20 hours ago I watched the game last night, and am still blown away by the comeback. TAMU was in control and just pounding on us, and yet our guys are fighters. Their experience really came through, and having three games where things were going badly, but we recovered, is so helpful for their confidence now, and for big games later. And great defense at clutch time! Keep it going! Mr. FishDuck
30Duck Author No. 3 Share Posted 17 hours ago Okay, an intense battle so far, Ducks break it open at the end of the half. What will they do with a 10 point lead at halfime?
Charles Fischer Administrator No. 4 Share Posted 17 hours ago Halftime Score: Oregon 41 SDST 31 I am surprised at the surge at the end of the half as it was neck-and-neck for the majority of the half. When these guys turn it on...wow. Now, let's finish! Mr. FishDuck

HDuck No. 8 Share Posted 16 hours ago After a couple days off over Thanksgiving, the Ducks will play in Vegas again on Saturday at 6:30 pm on TNT. Likely opponent will be No. 9 Alabama which is scoring a bunch of points and has wins over ranked Illinois and Houston, and a loss to ranked Purdue. Alabama has to dispatch Rutgers this afternoon, or the Ducks would face Rutgers instead.
30Duck Author No. 9 Share Posted 15 hours ago This was the best game of the season. Couldn't see it, but it sounded like the Ducks weren't just jacking up 3's. They did end up shooting a higher % from downtown, but this time the big advantage was second chance points, via offensive rebounds. Another really balanced box score for OBD, but Bamba gets the Player of the game!
spartan2785 No. 10 Share Posted 15 hours ago Just have to stay healthy, it's pretty evident that if Dana can keep a squad healthy he'll have a squad that will challenge for championships. This squad is so so deep with guys that can contribute, it's such a balanced squad. Bittle, Bamba, Shelstad, Cook, Tracey, Angel, and Evans are all capable of scoring 15+. Good defenders at each position, athleticism, BBIQ, experienced. I haven't even mentioned Mookie Cook or Moss. Mookie is a former 5 star talent and Moss is a former all-MAC contributor who scored 15+ last season. Truly believe we can win the B1G and be a 1-4 seed in March. We beat whoever we play on Saturday and we should be around the 20-17 mark in the rankings. The one thing I think we lack is a player who would be considered a first round talent. I don't know if we have that sort of player, we have a lot of guys who are going to make a living in Europe, but I don't know if we have many who are going to be contributors on a NBA roster. If I had to guess Bittle might be that guy. Shelstad has a shot but he'll probably need the next two years to transform fully into Pritchard. 1

What a year that would be....and then Baseball? If we won both football and Basketball... I'm sure the B1G would handle it just fine? 30Duck Author No. 13 Share Posted 15 hours ago I agree, that Bittle, maybe Angel are NBA prospects. Shelstad is just not big enough. But the team, imagine if they improve incrementally like Altman teams do from where they're at now! Maybe the bench doesn't get shorter as the season goes on. Maybe they stay like a hockey team and rotate ten players. The defense is sharp already, this was a big improvement offensively today.
Charles Fischer Administrator No. 14 Share Posted 15 hours ago It feels that with all the incredible experience....they could truly platoon them if they wanted. I do wish Angel would shoot more; so smooth... 1 Mr. FishDuck

spartan2785 No. 16 Share Posted 14 hours ago Angel maybe has a shot as a NBA bench guy, he does have an elite talent as a shooter, that will give him a shot, he just isn't much of an athlete, and his rebounding is very poor for a guy as tall as he is, really like him as a stretch 4 for us. Shelstad does have a chance, he is about as big as Pritchard is, maybe an inch shorter. I think he's more advanced than Peyton was, he certainly has more confidence than Pritchard had during his sophomore year. Bamba might be a guy who is a 2nd rounder who fights his way into a bench spot. I'm most interested to see who we go to when we absolutely need a bucket late in the game. If I had to guess Bamba probably is the guy who can create his shot the best. I feel pretty comfortable with both our guards handling the ball late in the game. Saturday will be a great opportunity to see where we are as a team, if we play Bama we'll be playing a top 10 team, if we play Rutgers we'll be facing two guys who are top 5 draft picks.

That was a difficult transition year for Pritchard, from a freshman on the Final 4 team to leading the team next year. To make the NBA, I think Shelstad will have to be able to take the ball to the rim more, he's living on the outside. Dave23 No. 18 Share Posted 9 hours ago The Ducks get Alabama and their biggest test of the year! The Ducks have stepped up to every challenge this year and this game will be a measuring stick of how good the Ducks can be this year. If they keep it close you know that their going to be a though it in March. If they win things will get really interesting and watch out as the wrecking ball is coming for the B1G.
