Alai Kalaniuvalu verbaled to Oregon, then changed to BYU, and then changed back!  This is a position of great need, and quite a development.

 

Besides Oregon and BYU, he had offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Utah, Washington, USC and more!

    So how do these “commitments” work when they are planning on going on a LDS mission for two years? Are they required to play a season with the school they sign with when they get back? Or can they decide at that time where they want to go? Seems strange to commit to a team 3 years from now.

    I think they can enter the portal at any time.  No time period is required.
