February 5Feb 5 Moderator Andy Katz, B1G basketball lead analyst of today's Big Today show. 'It's certainly not a precise number of hours but in roughly six hours of play this season Oregon has had the lead for one hour and has been behind for five hours.' 🤔 Big Live Signing Day Show if you missed it will replay latter toay on BTN. Terrific interview with Dan Lanning and great coverage of new recruits and the transfer class.
February 6Feb 6 Author Moderator In their least pathetic half of basketball in a long OBD are only down 41-36 to Michigan at halftime. The Ducks are firing up 3's, to nobody's surprise, and actually hitting 50%. Unfortunately, the game turned on a 11-0 run by Michigan, aided by back to back 3's for the home team. The difference in the game is what has been really bad for OBD lately, Michigan is doing anything it wants in the paint.
February 6Feb 6 Three things that I hate to see and can ruin my day: 1. Bamba shooting. 2. Evans doing anything. 3. My ex-mother-in-law. All are not necessarily in correct order.
February 6Feb 6 Bamba is currently on a torrid pace of 1 for 8. He is 2 for 2 on his free throws. There is that. UPDATE: Well, now he is 4 for 12. Edited February 6Feb 6 by Chas Man

February 6Feb 6 Author Moderator Last 3 minutes, Ducks went 0-6, when down by 2, Shelstad throws the ball to Altman instead of Bittle, later Bamba misses the front end of a 1 & 1.

Shelstad’s lazy pass, a bounce pass at a crucial time, was a grave miscue. Oregon was in position to possibly take the lead on that possession. It went downhill from there.

Who was the last Oregon shooting guard to start most of the season, play 25+ minutes per game, and shoot less than 37% from the floor on the year? We might be looking at a historically bad run for an Oregon SG. I went back a little bit and only saw one person in the Altman era that was worse, that was Tajuan Porter at 36.4%. Bamba has a good chance to beat that. Edited February 6Feb 6 by GeotechDuck

He was named MVP of the Pac-10 tournament. The Ducks made it to the elite 8 against defending champion, Florida, that's when it ended. Porter still holds most if not all 3 pt Oregon records, but it wasn't working against the Gators. Porter went 2-10 from downtown, 2-12 overall, Florida won, 85-77.

February 6Feb 6 Porter's first game was historic, he went off for like 36 or something like that. Probably one of the most outrageous shooters we've ever had, could single handedly shoot you into game or shoot you out of games. Once he didn't have Brooks, Hairston, Taylor, and Leunen his effectiveness dropped off big time. Only saw about the last 3 minutes, but I'll take it as progress since we were competitive. Freshman Tajuan Porter scored 38 points and set a new school record with 10 3-pointers to lead Oregon to a 116-68 win against Portland State on Sunday in the Basketball Travelers Classic tournament. Porter, who is averaging 31 points and seven 3-pointers after three games, was 12-for-14 from the field and 10-for-12 from the 3-point line before leaving the game with seven minutes to play.

Well....it felt like the first game of the season😂

Porter was the quintessential 6th man, into the starting line-up, he and the teams couldn't match '06-7.
