In the midst of uncertainty, Gary Bryant’s experience stands out

Evan Stewart’s injury has added to the growing uncertainty of the wide receiver depth chart this offseason. While Dakorien Moore is expected to follow in the footsteps of standout true freshmen like Ryan Williams and Jeremiah Smith before him, Oregon’s wide receiver room remains full of questions due to its youth and lack of starting experience.

Plenty of names have been mentioned as potential candidates to step up in Evan Stewart’s absence—Jurrion Dickey, Malik Benson, Jeremiah McClellan, among others. But what if the answer is the veteran in the room? What if it’s Gary Bryant Jr.?

Oregon moves on without one of its top wide receivers Evan Stewart, will it be Gary Bryant Jr's time to shine?

Scouting the opposition. PSU should be strong at the RB position.

NITTANYLIONSWIRE.USATODAY.COM

Do Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen top the list of returning Big Ten rushing leaders?

PSU, not surprisingly, ranks its two RBs 1st and 2nd in the B1G. Both PSU RBs gashed OBD for 100+ yards in the conference champ game. Can the D hold these guys down on 9/27/25?

FYI. Nits, along with Whit, OBD is bringing Makhi to the White Out. And, a lot of fired-up Forum members. 🥵

Penn State Wire's top B1G receiving rankings are Duckless. B1G Mistake. TOSU TE Max Klare but no Sadiq? How soon they forget the Champ Game.

Oh, and Phil Longo and his Dairy Raid at the request of Luke Finkell have left the Wisconsin building. Details, right?

NITTANYLIONSWIRE.USATODAY.COM

Penn State's transfer additions are among the most productive wide receivers returning to the Big Ten in 2025.

Returning? Pena transferred in from Syracuse. I believe Syracuse is in the ACC and not the B1G conference.

Ohio State's TE Klare transferred in from the B1G's Purdue, but he's not returning to the Boilermakers.

Many guys on this list require me to go Butch Cassidy and ask: Who are these guys?

Unusual Suspects, including several B1G teams like Rutgers, are doing well on the recruiting (NIL management?) front.

An interesting take on returning production numbers for Power 4 teams.

While splash transfer additions eat up offseason headlines, continuity is still paramount in college football

The list of returning players includes only those players who made six starts in 2024.

Using Tru Media stats, the last 8 CFB champions returned at least 11 players who started at least 6 games the previous season.

Of the 10 teams with FanDuel's best odds to win the 2025-26 title, Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Penn State return 11 or more. OBD, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Texas return fewer than 11.

So, it's time for OBD to reverse the trend.

Four "What if's" for this season.

Moore, Moore & Sadiq are really that good.

Bear Alex is all B1G

Run game better than passing game

Secondary is too new

There are a number of 'what ifs' for this Oregon roster this season that will heavily impact predictions.

A Nits's flimsy excuse for a bogus 2025 OOC schedule and a take on the B1G's biggest OOC games.

NITTANYLIONSWIRE.USATODAY.COM

Ranking the top 10 Big Ten nonconference games of the 2025 season.

The Cincinnati-Nebraska game is being played in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, not in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The Ducks-Cowboys game made the list, which speaks volumes about the B1G's weak OOC slates. Utah at UCLA deserves more B1G love. UCLA at UNLV could have been on the list.

In addition to SC, Purdue plays at Notre Dame in 2025. I would have had Michigan at Oklahoma as the second-ranked game on this list.

The Northwestern at Tulane opener and the BC at Michigan State game could go either way.

Matayo Makes USA Today's Top 50.

DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM

College Sports Wire has Oregon defensive end Matayo Uiagalelei as a Top 50 player and says could be the key to the Ducks' national title hopes.

And he should have been a First-Team ALL B1G Edge last season.

With stats from 5 starts at 'terrible O-line UCLA' and OBD mop-up duty, Dante should have received an Incomplete grade from PFF.

DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM

Pro Football Focus released rankings for all Power Four quarterbacks and Oregon’s Dante Moore was grouped near the bottom.

Just more fuel for the Incentive Fire. 🥵
