Oregon Football picks up another prediction to land 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho

The writing has been on the wall for the Ducks to land the 5-star OT, and another recruiting prediction — this time from On3's Charles Simmons — strengthens the case.

On Thursday night, Simmons logged an RPM for Iheanacho on On3 with a confidence level of 60. This bumped Oregon up to an overwhelming 90.7% favorite on the site, ahead of schools like Penn State, Auburn, and LSU. Over on 247Sports, there are three Crystal Ball predictions for Iheanacho, all in favor of the Ducks.

Tommy Tofi decommits; Oregon Ducks circling

And there are significant rumblings that more help is on the way.

On Monday, the first of those dominoes fell, as former California pledge and Farrington (Hawaii) three-star lineman Koloi Keli flipped to the Ducks.

He may not be alone.

Prediction: Tommy Tofi to Oregon Ducks

Shortly after Keli's announcement, Archbishop Riordan (California) four-star offensive lineman Tommy Tofi, a powerful 6-6, 335 offensive tackle tweeted (deleted and re-posted) a decommitment from Cal.

N.RIVALS.COM

Tommy Tofi - 2026 4 Star Offensive tackle for Riordan (San Francisco, CA) on Rivals.com

That news comes roughly three weeks after the nation's No. 6 interior offensive lineman took an official visit to Eugene.

After his early June surprise commitment to Cal, the rumblings began almost immediately that Dan Lanning's program would remain a big-time threat.

That buzz continued into the weekend and gained significant steam - with the now-widely reported decommitment of Tofi as a potential nail in the coffin.

All signs point to Tofi eventually committing to Oregon.

Oregon's commits ranked second per recruit to LSU.

It's July, I'll take Quality over Quantity, especially when many programs are overpaying for recruits. The author advises OBD fans not to go Quackers, and chill 🥶 out.

I've seen several comments on the board questioning and criticizing OBD's recruiting efforts to date. It's early in the recruiting day, and the players 'committed' to Qregon are top drawer.

Don't worry, be happy! 😍

As recruiting heats up for the 2026 class, these prominent programs are trailing behind. But is it time to panic?

Five-star recruit wears Oregon gear as decision nears

On Thursday at a football event, Ford was spotted wearing Oregon cleats and later gloves as well

Neither of those bits of evidence is anywhere near enough to feel comfortable about "Jones to Oregon," but if one is trying to connect the dots to get to that result the past week has been a positive one for Ducks fans.

Alabama looms large, and Texas A&M regularly pulls off surprises, so nothing is close to being over.

But the latest developments are worth monitoring.

And a decision could come soon

"Not exactly unprofessional?" How about Rude, Arrogant, Entitled, and a product of today's (un)Social media and Don't You Dare Tread on My Self-Esteem? As to another's self-esteem? Who cares?

Good riddance to this kid and his Old Man, too.

Five-Star LB Tyler Atkinson could be Dan Lanning’s biggest recruiting win yet

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks have been rolling on the recruiting trail this offseason, and they might not be done just yet.

With two five-star recruits already committed for the class of 2026, Oregon now has its sights set on linebacker Tyler Atkinson—one of the top prospects in the country. According to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals and On3, Atkinson will announce his decision live on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, July 15.

Most signs point to Georgia as the favorite, but don’t count out the Ducks. They’re already sitting at No. 12 in 247Sports’ recruiting rankings for 2026, and landing Atkinson would send them surging even higher.

If he picks the Ducks, Atkinson would become the highest-rated player in the Ducks’ class—just ahead of five-star safety Jett Washington, who’s ranked No. 18 nationally. Landing both would give Lanning a serious boost on the defensive side of the ball, and a foundation to chase something bigger.

That kind of momentum on defense would be hard to ignore. For a program that’s consistently been in the mix but still searching for its first national title, stacking elite talent like this is how that next step gets taken.

Elite Recruit Davon Benjamin Reveals Finalists, Sets Commitment Date

Four-star safety recruit Davon Benjamin has revealed the final five programs in his recruitment: the Oregon Ducks, Michigan Wolverines, Texas Longhorns, Washington Huskies, and North Carolina Tar Heels. The elite recruit has also scheduled a commitment date.

He recently took three official visits, starting with Oregon in Eugene on June 13, Texas in Austin on June 6, and Michigan in Ann Arbor on May 31.

“Really was just trying to, for the last time, let’s see if this is really the spot that I could see myself in, or another position. Get up there, just get the last feel for it, because this is the last official visit of my lifetime. Just getting up there one more time, see the school that’s been there from the start. Once I got up there and saw what I needed to see, it was all good.”

- Davon Benjamin on Oregon via On3

Oregon co-defensive coordinator Chris Hampton has been Benjamin's primary recruiter for the 5-11.5, 170-pound defensive back, along with the help of coach Dan Lanning and running backs coach Rashad Wadood.

“It’s really good to be honest. I talked to Dan (Lanning), (Rashad) Wadood, the other day. Pretty much, they treat me like little bro up there. Since Wadood’s been there, he’s watched me ever since I was a little kid, having him in the background and having coach Tosh (Lupoi) and coach Dan at the head positions really just leading."
