30Duck Moderator No. 1 Share Posted January 7, 2021 So far, under Dana Altman the Ducks had a lot of success, regular season championships, conference tournament wins, a Final Four appearance. But the one thing they haven't done is beat the Buffaloes in Colorado. They get another chance today, at 2:00 on FoxSport1.
Charles Fischer Administrator No. 2 Share Posted January 7, 2021 I was going to say that this is our best chance in years because Colorado isn't as good...until I looked at their 7-3 record. They beat Kansas State by 18, USC by 10 and Washington by 23 of whom the Ducks barely squeaked past. The Ducks are going to have their hands full, no doubt. I am going to be curious about how they operate in the low post against much bigger players... Mr. FishDuck
Jon Sousa No. 3 Share Posted January 7, 2021 "All good things (for Colorado) must come to an end." Today is as good a day as any for their home winning streak to come to an end. The thing about long streaks, winning or losing, is the added pressure they CAN add to the players and coaches. Either way, it puts undue pressure on everyone. Just go out there and play your best game.

ICamel No. 7 Share Posted January 8, 2021 16 minutes ago, ICamel said: Nope...................Altman's Ducks 0 fer Boulder(0 for 9). Lose 72-79 My bad, make it 0 for 10! After leading by 2 at the half, Colorado pushed the lead to 14 with 16:42 left in the 2nd half. Ducks cut that lead to 5 with 14:19 left. Buffs went up 12 with 8:22 remaining. Oregon cut that lead to 5 with 6:33 to go. Colorado went on a 7-0 run to lead by 13 at the 4:13 point left in the game. Ducks were able to get within 4 points and 1:53 left in the game. Ultimately it was too many runs by Colorado in the second half that doomed our Ducks!
30Duck Author Moderator No. 8 Share Posted January 8, 2021 This is really getting boring. Every game the Ducks play in Boulder against the Buffs looks the same. Colorado looks like a final four team, and Oregon looks like anything but #17. They had an 11-0 run in the middle of the first half. But of course it didn't last, the Buffs had the lead at halftime, and put the game away in the first 5 minutes. As ICamel said, every time it looked like the Ducks would get back in, they'd go on another run. Not that it made any difference in the game, it certainly made it worse that the female announcer sounded like she was a student at Colorado.
criticalduck No. 9 Share Posted January 8, 2021 This is the biggest jinx for Duck sports! The basket seems to closed on the men in Colorado...it's amazing that the Buffs can't beat the Ducks anywhere else but there.
BigDucksFan No. 10 Share Posted January 8, 2021 The Ducks are better off to forfeit the game then to play at Colorado. Talk about a monkey on the back.
