Indiana: 8 tackles for loss including 6 sacks in Eugene

Wisconsin: 7 tackles for loss including 4 sacks in Eugene

2012

Stanford: 9 tackles for loss including 3 sacks in Eugene - Ducks only loss in a 12-1 season ending with a win over K-State in the Fiesta Bowl

And 2012 would have been a national title winner against Notre Dame that year if we didn't drop that game.

Instead Bama got to play Notre Dame.

And just one block or 38 yard field goal away. Take your pick. Bonus what if: about a fifteen minute review overturning an incompletion into a touchdown pass at the end of regulation.

Oh the memories!

Oh Stanford had so many of those dubious calls. I want to say they had one or two in 2022 as well.

He missed TWO bunny field goals, and one hit the upright. Choker.

FishDuck Photographer Kevin Cline caught this perfect picture showing the pass was NOT good.

And who can forget the run-along-side-but-does-not-block....

So there were actually FOUR blunders that went against Oregon.

And thanks, for bringing up the memory! Doesn't bother me at all...

When Ertz joined the Eagles, Chip asked Ertz if he was in bounds. Never heard the answer.

What's new is a single loss is not enough to keep us out of the Natty.

Some people look back on those times of college football with nostalgia, but I don't. Being one bad day away from Natty elimination throughout the entire season was always a stupid idea, and a horrible thing to put the players coaches and fans through. None of us deserved that.

The point of the post was when you allow tackles for loss with QB sacks, good things don't happen. Whether it was 2012 or 2025.

But as I showed with four blunders...we could have easily won anyway, where it not for our mistakes.

But sure....it is fun for everyone to dig back 13 years to revive a painful memory.
