Sheldon High’s Brock Thomas defies odds as No. 7 Oregon D...

Thomas, overlooked by Power 4 programs, has surpringly earned the backup quarterback role at Oregon.

For a walk-on qb to make backup in this day and age is amazing. This is no disrespect to Novosad or Moga, just amazement at the effort by Thomas.

From what little we've seen from those two, it's clear we think they could manage playing D1 football.

What an example of "never, never give up".

It will be interesting to see what happens in the transfer portal. Akili Smith Jr is more than capable, young Beaver is promising, someone (something) has to give(go). We will see.

Meanwhile, we know coaches have a keen eye for qb's.

We seem to be in capable hands.

Motivation is just another way of saying you want it more than the other guy. Brock has that in spades. Never underestimate the locals.

This article requires a subscription and I cancelled mine after they got rid of Canzano. Just kidding. I never had a subscription.
