Yesterday at 12:54 AM1 day Administrator No. The Aztecs have a good basketball pedigree, and this should be another good game. Mr. FishDuck
Yesterday at 03:05 AM1 day No. They got destroyed by a very good Michigan team, it's a team we should beat, and really need to beat, hopefully Shelstad and Bittle have better games, and we value the basketball better.
Yesterday at 04:10 AM1 day No. 4 turnovers to start the game out of I think 6 or 7 possessions, that is unacceptable.Edit: 5 turnovers I'm ripping out my hair. Edited yesterday at 04:11 AM1 day by spartan2785
Yesterday at 04:27 AM1 day No. Down by 10, we look putrid, no offensive flow, we don't look like we know what we're doing, been saved by Shelstad going 4-4 from 3.This team is in desperate need of a dynamic offensive wing who is between 6-5 and 6-7. Someone who can go get a bucket. Edited yesterday at 04:28 AM1 day by spartan2785
Yesterday at 05:01 AM1 day No. Down by 10, 51-41.Ugly, bad defense, Shelstad has had a good shooting night but he's given it back on defense as he is not big enough to get around on screens and the Aztecs have abused him there, Auburn did the same thing last night. Not a lot of IQ on this team, they don't know have any feel on offense. They've actually had a good shooting night, but as always too many turnovers. We have very little depth as we don't have any guards that are of any worth on the bench. Stewart is alright as a backup big. This is not a great SDSU team, this isn't the type of team they've had in the past, they're 2-2, and they look vastly better than us right now. We can certainly come back, but Altman has so much to work on with this group.
Yesterday at 05:29 AM1 day No. Dana is going to smash some heads. This is as bad as I have seen a Dana team play on the defensive side of the ball.SDSU lost to Troy and got throttled by 40 against Michigan. Not a good sign. Edited yesterday at 05:43 AM1 day by GeotechDuck

I think he struck out on a number of his targets and panicked when he got Lin, Demir, and the other player from Turkey. He must have struck out on a number of freshman since we don't have a single one that is playing.
Yesterday at 05:45 AM1 day No. Oregon looks like a team roster a new coach would inherit after the prior one was fired. This performance is just ugly in many different ways. It is going to be a long Big Ten season. That game against Gonzaga on Dec. 21 is just not going to be pretty.

I don't see them as a top half team in the league. I doubt they get close to a tourney bid, they'll have no good non-conference wins as they will get blow out by Gonzaga if they play even close to what they have shown in the last two games. The thing that I'm most frustrated by is the lack of basketball IQ, they don't look like they know how to play team basketball, they don't look like they know what the scheme is offensively or defensively, that's on the coaches, both in identifying talent and in coaching the team to be ready at the start of the season.
Yesterday at 06:34 AM1 day No. Play Creighton in the "0-2 championship" and it sounds like Creighton (at the link) has similar problems.https://archive.ph/AEGWmCreighton lost twice in Vegas by similar margins of Oregon's losses. The Ducks face Creighton at 11:00 am, Thanksgiving Day, on TruTV.Creighton's already played Gonzaga and lost 63-90. The way Oregon played tonight, I might be happy with a 27-pt loss. We'll have to see how badly Bittle's ankle injury may be.The Aztecs made 39 of 58 (67%) from the field, 11 of 23 (48%) from 3-point range, against the Ducks. Michigan beat SDSU by 40. Those could be some long plane rides home from the Midwest for the Ducks if score comparisons predict the future. That 67% was the highest ever allowed by a Dana Altman Ducks team. 8 different Aztecs were over 50%. The Ducks were 28% from 2-pt range in the second half.
Yesterday at 02:22 PM1 day No. The crazy thing is that Oregon has some pretty good athletes, so you would think at least the defense would be average, as a lot of that comes down to effort. That was the best SDSU has shot from the floor in 13 years. That was by far the worst defensive effort by an Altman team in his time at Oregon. This SDSU team got beat by Troy at home and was throttled by 40 against Michigan.
Yesterday at 05:24 PM1 day No. For me, we’ve been mostly borderline unwatchable since 2020, we just don’t play a modern brand of basketball imo. My expectation every season, was/is/and continues to be 12+ losses and being on the bubble. I’ll continue to watch, but we don’t seem to be very serious about basketball overall. If we’re cool with the above, it is what it is.Love me some historic Dana, but I’m not sure about 2025 Dana if we want to ever actually pursue a title. Yesterday at 06:03 PM1 day Moderator No. Didn't go over well with Dana as he skips post-game radio interview.Dana Altman's Abnormal Move After Oregon Ducks Flop In Players Era Festival Game
Yesterday at 06:29 PM1 day No. I'd like to hear what the players have to say about their performance, and how they feel about representing the University of Oregon. Just curious.
Yesterday at 08:46 PM1 day No. That was painful to watch. It seems these players lack confidence. They can't seem to get the ball inside, and when they do they often can't finish.I heard Altman said "we can't guard our own shadow". Maybe a little harsh, but how else do you explain a team shooting nearly 70% against you?All the fast break dunks? Yikes. It feels like they've taken a step backwards. I can't deny Dana's success, but one might wonder if the modern game with the portal and NIL has passed him by.
46 minutes ago46 min No. Looks like they capped off the trip by losing by double digits to a 0.500 Creighton team. Double Ouch. Edited 46 minutes ago46 min by GeotechDuck
