1 hour ago1 hr Administrator No. We played a TON of second and third teamers beginning in mid-second quarter. When we finally brought the starters back--they were cold, and not as effective as early in the game. For example the LB burned on the wheel route is a RS Freshman, the 3rd team LB.Lanning wanted these guys to get experience, and gambled that they would be better. He knew we had the game won and since style points don't matter--wanted the reserves to get playing time. I don't know about Offord.... Mr. FishDuck
55 minutes ago55 min No. Kind of surprised to not see more of Noah Whittington In the second half. Oregon seemed to be running the ball effectively. Why not run it with a big lead and shorten the game? Oh well, win and move on! Not feeling super confident about the Orange Bowl though. TT looks formidable.

16 minutes ago16 min No. Nice win for Oregon to advance. The Ducks’ track speed on the perimeter was more than JMU could handle in the bump and run defense. The Dukes got away with it all year because they were able to get to the QB before receivers could break away down the field. Tonight, zero sacks and very few hits on the QB so he had time to deliver balls over the top. The defense came into the game as the strong point of the team and tonight they were roasted for 44 points. I was surprised Oregon’s top 10 defense gave up 500 yards and 34 points to JMU. They made JMU play left handed and throw 49 times which is not the strength of JMU’s run based team. That usually results in a train wreck for the Dukes, but tonight it produced 34 points. I don’t know if Big 10 offenses aren’t that dynamic but I expected the Ducks to be more stout on defense. Good luck the rest of the way. Now that you have eliminated James Madison, I hope Oregon wins it all. The offense is certainly good enough. The defense will need to play much better to be a title team.
9 minutes ago9 min No. Over the years I've been trying to train myself to not overreact to either Spring games or garbage time. When advanced stats come out I imagine they will cut everything out as "garbage time" after about 4:22 in the second quarter (34-3).
