"Jay Harris was on the field though and perhaps most interestingly, linebacker Brayden Platt warmed up with the running backs but was still wearing a green defensive jersey."

I think Brayden dealt with some injuries both as a junior and senior, but MaxPreps has the following rushing stats for him at Yelm (WA) HS:

23-24 (SR): 4 games, 50 carries, 462 yards, 9.2 ypc, 115.5 ypg, 5 TDs

22-23 (JR): 8 games, 87 carries, 928 yards, 10.7 ypc, 116.0 ypg, 21 TDs

(He also ran a 11.09 100m at 6-2 and 235 pounds)

Some conflicting information about a possible injury in the RB room that would make some sense of this report. Don't want to jump the gun here, it just is out there. 🫤

If so:

Next Man Up!

Even with portal losses...this Oregon team is deep! With the exception of Dante going down I feel fairly confident, especially our RB room, that we can "cover" any playoff injuries, better than most.

So far I haven’t seen any report on a possible injury. Where did you see it, maybe I can look further into it.

Thanks AnotherOD

It's all over Twitter that Davison broke his collarbone. Not sure when, but most people are saying it happened in the 1st quarter of the Orange Bowl, which doesn't really make any sense.

I believe there suppose to be an updated injury list coming out sometime today. Let’s hope this is not true. 🤞

I'm not going to say it's impossible for that to have happened in the 1st quarter, but it seems highly unlikely that the medical staff would allow a player to play with a broken collarbone.

Noah Whittington has proven he can carry the load in big games. Limar just entered the portal. It might be why Harris is sticking around for the week.

A random jump into the AI weeds, it does seem like people do break their collarbone and not know it (apparently a lot by falling off their bikes). Initial soreness that gradually increases. 🤷‍♂️

I've found that it depends on who's reporting the injury. There is an insider at ON3 named Hopkins who is usually pretty accurate. He reported all of the injuries (Moore, Bryant, et al) before the Iowa game.
