3 minutes left in the half and OBD just scored their 10th point. They are shooting a collective 12% against the 11 win Terps. How can these guys spend their whole lives in the gym and still be that bad at putting the ball in the hoop?

Is this Altman's last game? OBD are down 12-33 at halftime against Maryland. We are 3 of 22 from the floor (all 3 makes from Bittle) and we're being outrebounded 26-14.

Altman deserves a glorious send off in front of the home crowd, but I don't see any indications that next year gets better.

It seems like Dana would have to opt out, and up to this point, that is not the message he has been sending. Is he seeing his future through rose colored glasses? This team is really bad, and he is the head coach. It's his product we are watching flail away with a rather astonishing sense of futility.

I luv the Ducks. And, I understand the injury situation. But, that first half was beyond bad. As Chas Man said, these guys are not junior high vs varsity - they have spent countless hours in gyms during their lives.

A fitting end to a disastrous season. How do they score 12 points in the first half and 48 in the second half? Injuries aside, this years team has been a real head scratcher. Shooting 19/52 for 37% and 4/21 for 19% from three. Out rebounded 38-28. Time to flush it and move on. I believe Coach Altman will return but if not for

gutting this roster and starting over, we'll witness the same. Will Shelstad and Evans Jr. return, or will a school with NIL lure them away. I believe Altman has one hand tied behind his back and is doing the best with what he's got. The Ducks attendance averaged 6,352 which is 51.4% of capacity. That has to change. But to put

butts in the seats, you need a winning team. Difficult maybe but entirely possible. It's eight months until basketball starts again for our Ducks, I'm hoping for some good news to get this program turned around in the right direction.

I have been watching Oregon hoops since 1991 and I have never seen that before. Is that the lowest output in a half for the Ducks since the shot clock was adopted??

The Oregon women lost a Pac12 Tournament game to Colorado 79-30 in March 2024. The Ducks (11-21) had 11 points at half-time.

Sports sites say the 12 points today was the men's lowest scoring first half in 3 decades, but doesn't cite the date/opponent.

I can't. But it reminds me of a question asked Seve Ballesteros after a round at the Masters, and after he four-putted the 18th hole.

This season was very much a Founders Club food as the main draw over the on court play.

Well I am glad that it is "over"! Injuries, yea ok, but the absolute worst mens BB team since I have been here (1993). Let's hope for a roster rebuild (but wasn't what this year was suppose to be) and just chalk this o year up as the 'lost year" for Oregon BB.

As bad as the Ducks season was, look no further than former PAC-12 member Arizona State. They just got pummeled by Iowa State 91-42!!! And they only scored 16 first half points. Bobby Hurley is on his way out. Who's next?
