Tuesday at 08:47 PM2 days No. Given who won last night (5 transfers starting) roster retention is no longer in style. Being good at identifying and paying talent is where it’s at, and apparently we have room for improvement on both of those fronts. Our activity level is starting to get embarrassing imo. Ready for some big moves given the portal opens, uh, today.

Yesterday at 03:41 AM1 day Author No. Is this is really one of Oregon’s targets to fill the PG position?5’10” and shoots 39% from the floor and 31% from three? If that is true, then I have to continue to assume there is a major NIL issue with men’s hoops. Edited 23 hours ago23 hr by GeotechDuck

8 hours ago8 hr Author No. Vatan is in the portal now, so down to one holdover. This is not ideal:"It wasn't unexpected," Altman said. "There were three guys we really wanted back — Sean and KJ and Jackson, three starters. We did not pull anybody scholarship. Everybody had their scholarship would have been renewed, but we are working with the budget, and some guys are going to lose their NIL. Most of them are taking a reduction, big reduction."Link to article:https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/oregon-basketball-faces-defining-offseason-as-dana-altman-navigates-new-era-of-rebuilding-280962517/
5 hours ago5 hr Moderator No. The Michigan model of ‘Win Now’ not only requires a fat transfer wallet, but also suggests coaching may now be moving away from player development, and towards utilizing the already formed skill-sets of veteran top talent into more or less straight forward offensive and defensive schemes that focus on advantageous match-ups. It’s one-on-one at both ends of the floor with a vengeance. For Dana, this model represents a big shift away from what has been his strengths: recruiting good to excellent high school talent that he can then gradually shape into ‘his team’ over the course of a season.Where Dana exemplifies the college value of teaching, Dusty May has brought off-the-shelf pro moneyball squarely into the NCAA limelight.

We'd love to keep Terrence, but if he goes somewhere else I really hope it's Oregon. Oh, and don't sell Jayden Reid short (even at 5'10") he's a baller. If you get him, you'll love watching him play.

It won't just be Altman who will have to conduct a meet and greet to start every practice.
