November 28, 20213 yr Players seem to like Herm. Letting him go before early signing in December risks jumps to the portal and recruiting flips. Not the right time to make the change. And is it better for ASU to let Herm stand in front of the NCAA firing squad when they announce penalties for recruiting mistakes? Herm may be more forgivable in person.

Should the AD be more concerned with keeping early signees than a signed player’s feelings about a coaching change? Certainly risks to both, but players know that coaches can leave for any reason after signing.

Fire Herm after an OK season and it may be seen as coping to the NCAA violations?

November 28, 20213 yr ASU only has 5 committed recruits for 22 right now and they're ranked last in the PAC-12, 93rd nationally. I imagine it's hard to recruit when everyone assumes there will be some sort of sanctions coming.
