So far, not only has Oregon not collapsed with the departure of the guy from Miami, new Coach, Dan Lanning, has moved forward, namely reconnecting with Cyrus Moss, and in this story from Ducks Wire, Zachary Neel, a top QB, has Oregon in his list.

To date, the press is making a big deal about USC's 2023 'commits.' Very good players but they are all skill guys. SEC needs Beef.

In truth Riley didn't bring too much beef to Oklahoma. 0-4 in the playoff because they weren't able to beat the heavy hitting SEC linemen. 

 

He got bigger linemen than Oregon of old had but wasn't built to really compete with the top tier programs. 

 

Also... Riley is keeping the same problem Helton had with recruiting ... Lots of good skill guys but not on the lines of scrimmage. Lots of flash not a lot of as you said... Beef.

Thanks DM. When Carroll was at SC he put a lot of guys into the NFL and many were O and D line guys. In the last 5 drafts when it comes to O and D line guys the Pac-12 is only ahead of the ACC. Or, maybe only behind the ACC is more appropriate.

Pretty much what kiiled Helton; rather than bring in the beef like PC did, he doubled down and went Air Raid.
