Justin was the ROTY last season, he's a Pro Bowl quarterback, now he has the chance to get the Chargers into the Playoffs for the first time since 2018.

A Duck-Buddy told me that while he does not hope for injury...it would be cool to have another Herbert vs. Mariota game, especially with so much at stake.  I am not sure the new coach would use Marcus in the Zone-Read as well as Gruden did...but it is all fantasy anyway.

What a great game to anticipate--thanks for posting it 30Duck!

If the Chargers and Raiders end in a tie, both are in the Playoffs. If one of them win, they are in, and so are the Steelers.

A little shaky at the start, but behind their Pro Bowl QB, the Chargers have come back from down 10-0 to take a 14-10 lead. Of course, just when the Chargers had the momentum the Chargers defense gave up a 3rd and 23 with a minute left, allowing the Raiders to keep the ball, then a PI in the end zone, which gave the Raiders 1st and 10 on the 1. They got a TD, and now lead at halftime, 17-14. The Chargers get the ball to start the 2nd half.

First touchdown

 2nd touchdown

Come on Herbie and company!!

I was having flashbacks to Mario led Ducks in that last two minutes of the half. 🥴

As most broadcasters do, Michaels and Collinsworth can't help but talk about what a great player Herbert is, both his play, and how he is a true leader, calmed the Chargers down, and took the lead. Unfortunately, he can't play cornerback too.

Dang.

. That kicker makes me miss George Blanda and Ray Guy... I know they were raiders, but that was their bread and butter

Chargers get 6 yards on their 3rd and 23, miss a 51yard field goal.

Chargers go for it on 4th and 1 from their 18, Short. Hold Raiders to a field goal, trail 20-14.

Not looking good right now-Chargers need a quick score.

Chargers D, Chargers penalties, Chargers drops: 🤮🤮🤮!!!

chargers bonehead cornerback penalty at end of first half, plus coach’s decision to to go for it on 4th and 2 from their own 18: 🤮🤮😭😭!!!!

Okay, 29-22, That 3rd and 23 the Chargers gave up, leading to the PI, that led to the Raiders TD at the end of the 1st half is HUGE now!

The usually dependable Austin Ekeler can't find the ball for what would have been a huge catch.

Chargers convert on 4th and 10. :15 to go, Raiders 31yard line. :05 left, 12 yard line. Touchdown Chargers!!!!! It's overtime!!!

Unbelievable game.

Raiders win: 35-32

Staley outsmarted himself with that timeout and turned the Chargers season off.  What a waste of a Herbert.

Yep, seems like the theme of Herbert's football career....coaches that waste his talent.  At least in the NFL it isn't because the offensive game plan is designed for the sole purpose of displaying the O-line's "physicality."
