Posted February 15, 20223 yr Administrator OK...it's in tennis, but when there is no news out there.... EUGENE, Ore. – Head coach Nils Schyllander has announced the signing of Swedish standout August Gustafson to the Oregon men’s tennis team. Gustafson will join the team in the fall. “We are thrilled to announce that August Gustafson will be joining the Ducks in the fall of 2022,” said Schyllander. “August is a national champion who already is a highly-accomplished doubles player with a huge upside in singles as well." “He is an extremely hard-working student-athlete that excels in the classroom and on the court. August will fit right into the Oregon way and our culture. Welcome to the Duck family, August.” Gustafson most recently won the Swedish doubles national championship and finished second in doubles the year prior. A top-five ranked Swedish U18/19 player in 2021, Gustafson earned a third-place finish in the singles national championships. Mr. FishDuck

February 15, 20223 yr Moderator I still want to see Franck on the line against a field goal, and rushing the punter.

February 16, 20223 yr Good gawd. Watched him play. Are you kidding? He uses a full western grip. And a one-handed backhand - mostly slicing - with no power. No penetration, no consistency, no return of serve. And he'll likely be sliced to death in a rally. But does have speed and covers well. Will need a lot of coaching up.
