Duck 1972 No. 3 Share Posted May 23, 2022 Yes he was "blur" but he was also tough and strong. I don't remember exactly but his YAC must have been off the charts. He is and was the goat RB for the Ducks. If he had played 4 yrs he would still hold the record for most yards gained by a Duck. He's my favorite Duck I've ever seen play and I'm a greybeard. 1
30Duck No. 4 Share Posted May 23, 2022 "Touchdown, LaMichael James!" We heard Jerry Allen say that many times, and usually less than 2 seconds after he got the ball.
DUCati855 Moderator No. 5 Share Posted May 23, 2022 LaMichael was the best. But, you have to give a lot of credit to the great downfield blocking. That was a true TEAM.
OhioDuck No. 6 Share Posted May 24, 2022 Wow, that was fun! Thanks Smith 72! Yeah, duck 1972, for most guys YAC is grinding out 2 or 3 more yards. With LaMichael is was often 20 or 30. Better get him the first time, you won't get another chance! Looks like we are recruiting for that kind of speed again. Would be great to see that kind of excitement returning!
Just Ducky No. 7 Share Posted May 24, 2022 Truly a great college running back. The Ducks have had many. Bobby Moore Royce Freeman Kenyon Barner Johnathan Stewart DAT I’m sure I've left out a few. Bring back the ground attack, makes passing so much easier. Thanks for the flashback Smith.
Duck 1972 No. 8 Share Posted May 24, 2022 (edited) From the early years R Droughns and S McCullough And have to add CJ Verdel who also started as a frosh. If he just didn't always get hurt! When he was healthy he was also 1 of our greats. Edited May 24, 2022 by Duck 1972 Didn't finish accidentally posted.
