One of the guys, I forget which letter he was, was absent much of the game so they couldn't even spell BEAVERS. He probably was already frozen, or on the floor drunk passed out
June 7, 20223 yr Damm being a greybeard sure has its draw backs. Does anyone remember the fog night when we busted their dam I believe it was in Reeser's. Just can't remember the year?

I remember it well...dozens of red roses thrown onto the ground from the Beavers student section late in the fourth quarter, while thousands of despondent fans in orange and black made a jail break for the exits. My two sons and I savored every second of that game, especially those final three or four minutes, when Beaver humiliation was secured. The good news for Beaver fans that year--wonderful news really--is that they received a bid for the Sun Bowl, and who doesn't love going to El Paso? For someone from Corvallis, it's the equivalent of one of us going to London, Paris, or Rome. The best news is that Beaver fans did make it to Pasadena after all that season. En route to El Paso, the pilot of the plane carrying those Beaver fans did a fly-by over the Rose Bowl at 35,000 feet.
