Posted July 22, 20223 yr Mario Cristobal, ACC rearranged his media day schedule to allow him to attend Spencer Webb’s memorial SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM The former Oregon coach rearranged his schedule to try and get to Eugene for Spencer Webb's memorial service. Unfortunately his flight was cancelled.
July 22, 20223 yr Mario recruited SW, and was a good help for him when he was here. Im sorry he couldn't make it. I hope many of you saw the service on YouTube. It was very moving. RIP Spider.
July 22, 20223 yr Moderator I agree. The service was very well done. It was very emotional. I wish they would've identified the players who spoke after the service in the video. I didn't know who most of them were.
July 23, 20223 yr Very classy of Mario. Too bad his flight was canceled and he couldn’t attend. It’s time for Oregon fans to move on. Mario got the opportunity to coach at his alma mater, where he won 2 national championships. I can’t fault someone for chasing their dreams and doing what they think is best for them and their family. By all accounts, he worked extremely hard while at Oregon, and left the cup board full for our new coaching staff. I wish him well at Miami except when recruiting head to head against Oregon.
