Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted August 11, 2022 So glad to read this in a practice report! Win or lose with class... "You got to learn how to be poised," Sam Taimani said. "We kind of learned our lesson today; we were a little aggressive today, so we ran a little. It's how we practice is how he wants us to play in the game. He doesn't want any of the smack talking, extra stuff; he wants us to have clean practices because how we practice will translate into the game." 1 3 2 Mr. FishDuck
Vandownbytheriverduck No. 2 Share Posted August 11, 2022 Good to hear. It’s one thing to celebrate a score or big play with your mates. But watching guys celebrate big plays when behind, taunt others for one little play, celebrate big tackles on a negative play and talk trash are all weak. MC was a lot better than WT but the play didn’t always match the attitude.
LuckeyDuck No. 3 Share Posted August 11, 2022 I agree. We were always told to have some pride but trash talk is for trash, and thats not us. !

David Marsh No. 5 Share Posted August 11, 2022 Trash talk isn't always a problem going out... It's a problem when it comes back and the players don't know how to not engage in it. When they engage in trash talk by dealing it out they have less control staying out of if it later. Don't engage from the start and it's easier to stay out of it. Those who come from third world nations often have great perspective. Few can ever truly understand the filth of living amongst wet dogs fighting over meager secondary scraps while you watch Ducks overhead fly south for New Years Day in the sun.
