FishDuck Article Administrator No. 1 Share Posted November 26, 2022 I am not much of a gambler. But, back in August I hit the local Indian Casino and put down a few bucks on Oregon winning over nine regular season games for this season. Of course, with their record currently at 9-2, the Ducks have to beat the Beavers for me to win my bet. More than me winning my ... Beaver Game Will Define Oregon's Season FISHDUCK.COM Darren Perkins of FishDuck.com sees the outcome of this game as Oregon have a good season, or simply an ok season. Notalot No. 2 Share Posted November 26, 2022 For me the season is defined by the entire 12-game body of work beginning with the Georgia game and culminating with today’s match against the Beavers. The Civil War is yet another data point, albeit with added emphasis given the rivalry between the teams and the impact of winning on the Pac-12 North crown and statewide bragging rights, not to mention beating a ranked team for national SOS effects. Go Ducks. Beat the Beavers soundly.

Smith72 Moderator No. 4 Share Posted November 26, 2022 I'm with Notalot. One game doesn't make a season. Today's game is important because it's against the Beavers. My family is split in this rivalry two daughters went to OSU and one to Oregon. Their husbands and children will watch the game with us. It is spirited fun and an all day get together! We love to tease the other side but it is "civil"! Darren, you make some good observations about what the Ducks need for a win. Let's hope they come true. Thanks for writing today's article! Go Ducks!
Dr Hilarius Moderator No. 5 Share Posted November 26, 2022 If the Ducks were to win the Pac and Rose Bowl having lost to both UW and OSU, I personally would not feel the season was an unmitigated success. Sure, we’d all be talking about “overcoming adversity to save the season,” but there would always be an asterisk in my mind. A loss to one or the other might spice things up, but losing to both would leave a bad taste in my mouth no matter the final season outcome. So let’s go DL and OBD!! Beat the Beavs!! Charles Fischer Administrator No. 6 Share Posted November 26, 2022 I hope going into every year that Oregon wins 10 games, because if you win 10...you are a respected, good team. You will be nationally ranked, and probably in a good bowl. Ten is my benchmark! 1 Mr. FishDuck

Certainly one game doesn't define a season, but since it is that last game of the year it will play a vital part of how we look at the season since getting to double-digit 10 wins is a significant achievement, a benchmark.

GODUCKS15 No. 12 Share Posted November 26, 2022 Losing to UW and OrSt in one season is not a good season at all regardless of the record. IMO this is the game that makes or breaks the season. At least until the P12 Champ game. LOL.
