According to Lanning's post-Signing Day interview there are (so far) no Freshmen from last year entering the Portal.  I take this to mean that they have less reason to be dissatisfied either due to promises kept, conditions as expected and/or roles as defined by their coaches when coming aboard.

Whereas, for some older players things weren't working out the way they expected, wanted or were told.  At least, this is the assumption, I guess.

End result of this: a more 'Lanning-like" team is being assembled in Eugene and soon we'll all be treated to what more reflects the Lanning Era Oregon Ducks football program.  I'm good with that.  I think it'll be a very good one.

The former four-star and top-100 recruit, Walden was limited by injuries during his two seasons in Eugene and saw the playing field seldomly.

Walden saw action in two games during his career, both coming in 2022 for the Ducks, recording just eight total snaps.

Walden made his debut against Cal and saw playing time a week later against Colorado. Walden missed the 2021 season due to injury and redshirted.
