The Four Fastest Ducks for '26
After I found those times, I was still sort of curious generally how they might stack up, so I dug a bit into Georgia and Ohio State. I didn't add a post as I am not that familiar with those rosters (and didn't want to spend forever on it) and figured I would probably have a bad omit or two (that would drive a Bulldog or Buckeye fan crazy); but, it was kind of interesting to have something to compare it to. Don't quote me on any of it though 🙂. Published 100m I could find. Oregon Baseball Takes 8-0 Start To Las Vegas For Marquee Weekend Challenge
This will be a step-up in competition, but not as much as we thought it would be. Last year Arizona won our Regional, won the Super-Regional and was in the CWS. This year they are 1-7...and reeling. The word is--they have good-to-great pitching, but can't hit a lick. We will be facing a good pitcher Friday night at 6:00 PM PST. Cal-Irving hovered between No. 12 and No. 15 in the nation most of last year...but is unranked this year at 6-3. They lost a series to Cal 2-1, split with Grand Canyon and beat Sacramento State 3-0 in that series. Meh. Vanderbilt is 7-2 and unranked. They lost a toughie to No. 18 TCU, 5-4, got kicked by Oklahoma State 11-1, and cruised through Marist, Evansville, and Eastern Michigan. More meh. All three teams could beat us on a given day, but I have the most confidence in Oregon's pitching in a decade. We have a shot at a very good weekend.. We are ranked No. 9 by Perfect Game, but the one I follow the most is D1 Baseball, and the Ducks are unranked with them...so far. Collin Clarke The number of Oregon fans watching online will be sparse; the stream is through D1 Baseball, and they charge $30.00 for four tournaments...of which three I have no interest in. So I am paying through the nose for my devotion to Our Beloved Diamond Ducks, and will report to you the action, but... The bastards who run this streaming do NOT have a fast-forward feature. They have a ten second rewind, (good) but not a fast-forward. This is important because in between innings I would go write up the last inning and come back way behind on the stream. But I would catch up as I would hit the ten-second fast forward between pitches, mound conferences, etc. and get caught up. This means I HAVE to watch it live and not leave it. I can post scores after innings from my cell phone, but no game-action and descriptions this weekend. After the games--I will put up the press release about the games with more information. Let's Go Ducks!

BIG and SEC Finally Agree on Something, To Stop a Game Changer
You know, I do not mind as much subsidizing the chaff, because we do need cannon-fodder for our schedule in the conference. But I don't want to be "equal" revenue with all the other conferences. We would have a 50% cut in revenue, I'm sure.

Oregon Baseball Takes 8-0 Start To Las Vegas For Marquee Weekend Challenge
Oregon baseball is 8-0 entering a big weekend in Las Vegas, where the Ducks will face Arizona, UC Irvine and Vanderbilt in an early-season measuring stick.Oregon baseball heads to Las Vegas this weekend carrying more than just an unbeaten record. The Ducks are 8-0 after sweeping both George Mason and Youngstown State, the degree of difficulty rises sharply with a three-game round robin against Arizona on Friday, UC Irvine on Saturday, and Vanderbilt on Sunday at Las Vegas Ballpark for the Live Like Lou Las Vegas College Baseball Classic That is exactly the kind of test head coach Mark Wasikowski welcomes for a young team looking to make a splash early into its season. "As we go, the competition improves, which is great," Wasikowski said. "But so far, the guys have answered the tests that have been put in front of them. Every practice day or game day is an opportunity for us to assess and improve." https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/oregon-baseball-takes-8-0-start-to-las-vegas-for-marquee-weekend-challenge-275759825/

Tinkle is History
We just don't know when. He is allowed to finish the season. Oregon State says coach Wayne Tinkle won't return next season - ESPN Interesting, if UCLA makes a free throw at the end of a 2021 Pac 12 tourney game, OSU doesn't win the Pac 12, doesn't go to the NCAA and doesn't make the elite eight and he is gone years ago.

It will be interesting if at the end of the current BIG media deal, if realignment occurs again and the chaff is separated. As of now, we are kind of subsidizing the lower tier of the BIG, but that was the price of admission. Canzano had a horrific take (I know hard to imagine) that Scott Barnes helped "save" the Pac 12. Humm, does anyone outside of beneficiary of the Albany plant smell and the Palouse think it was saved? He did have a great point I hadn't realized. Gonzaga is a full media share member. Let that sink in while noting that their football program will receive zero, zip, nada dollars of that deal. Seems their basketball program will rocket to the top of the nation in money available for a program.

It’s not really surprising with Huang imo. One multi-billionaire made his fortune in the tech industry and has probably never attended a sports event. The other made his $$ marketing sports apparel and was a collegiate track athlete. Huang is also traditionally not very philanthropic relatively speaking…but that is a nut I’ll be trying to crack 😆

Its weird to me about Beavis since Jensen Huang as well as many other hi tech big wigs have gone to or graduated from Oregon St. Even those guys dont want to support Beavis football. LOL. Huang makes Knight look like small cheese on Billionaires row.

🤔Hmm, I think I’ll change the wording “anchors” to “millstones around our necks”. It sounds more foreboding.

It would also just happen to help his conference's finances to the detriment of the Power 2's finances. When Cody's idea first surfaced, the B1G and the SEC told him to get lost. The only place where interest in the idea is growing is within the mind of the author. Apparently, multi-billionaire oilman Campbell does not understand the meaning of 'NO!' Or, the author didn't hear the B1G and SEC just saying, "NO!" Cody has learned one lesson at least. This season, he is buying an offense to go with an excellent defense. It's a long offseason. 😴

No. We already have had two anchors for decades in Beavis and Butthead in our former conference, and they stole 30 million from us on the way out. We are NOT going to subsidize other teams, when we have put so much into building OUR brand. It gets back to the number of eyes watching; which gets more eyes....Colorado State at Reser, or Michigan at Autzen? And we effectively get paid the same?

I’m sure he wants to, just as Beavis wants their new conference to be a “P5”. One of these things will eventually happen, sort of. Not going to happen until there’s a “super conference” imo. I don’t think anyone is giving up power and $$ to elevate programs that haven’t been investing in success.

I second that, I'm tired of nobody getting in trouble, I'm tired of no rules, nobody held to account.
