Are You Ready for Some Football ???
For us old guys time already flies by too fast. Now you say spring game is just around the corner -- April 25... AAAAAaaaaAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa. I have too much to do before April 25. I'd like to think I have plenty of time, but it is JUST AROUND THE CORNER! At least, when I am disappointed that I couldn't get everything done, I'll have the Spring Game to watch!

Boy....I guess Waz is not as exceptional in bringing in so many pitchers as I thought by comparison. What I thought was a high number is actually over the average, but not by much. Thanks for the research, and bringing that to us! We'll see Collin Clarke this weekend!

Oregon Football: Early 2026 Ranking Projections
We are ranked high enough. We'll have to see how our offensive line is same as every year, and see if there are any freshman surprises like last year to help us along. I think the 2025 season was peak depth for this team. It's all downhill from here as the expanding playoff and NIL continue to redistribute talent to a broader number of teams. So injuries will have greater impact to our team as well.

FishDuck Foaming Over Upside of 2026 Diamond Ducks
Per the House settlement, NCAA roster limits for D1 baseball power 4 schools CANNOT opt out of the new roster limits. D1 schools who are not power four have the choice of opting in or out. Power 4 schools AND schools who have voluntarily opted in will be limited to a 34 man roster. D1 schools who have opted out will have a 40 man roster limit. Listed below are the B1G ten schools, their roster number and their number of pitchers. I don't know why some of the schools are over the roster limit. Illinois 34 20 Indiana 44 24 Iowa 37 20 Maryland 39 20 Michigan 41 21 MSU 32 19 Minnesota 36 20 Nebraska 41 22 Northwestern 35 17 Ohio St. 38 22 Penn St. 39 23 Purdue 37 18 Oregon 39 23 Rutgers 39 18 UCLA 40 21 USC 40 20 Washington 36 18

Oregon Football: Early 2026 Ranking Projections
Thanks, Happy. One of Ohio State and Indiana will finish no better than 11-1. The Buckeyes visit Bloomington on 10/17. Indiana wins, and OBD defeats Ohio State a month later on 11/7, and Oregon will be in the B1G title mix. I will be surprised if Oregon is favored to win the game in Columbus. However, TOSU is losing a lot of studs on the D side of the ball. The week before the game in Columbus, Ohio State plays USC in LA, and OBD plays Northwestern at home. I hope the Ohio State at USC game will be the prime-time game with a 7:30 PM Eastern kickoff and the Buckeyes returning to Columbus in the wee hours of Sunday. Future odds have Ohio State +2.5 at Texas. Ohio State and Indiana are co-favorites to win the 2026-27 title, followed closely by Texas and Notre Dame, then Oregon. Ohio State has a more difficult schedule than Indiana and Oregon. OBD does not play the Hoosiers in the regular season. I'm happy to see you predicting 11-1 for Oregon. Considering the opposition and where and when the games will be played, 11-1 would be a sterling record in 2026 and cover the 2026 10.5 win total. 11-1, no conference champ game, No. 5 seed? Book it, Danno.😁

Oregon Football: Early 2026 Ranking Projections
Alex, thanks for the article. Really appreciate you listing the key returning players on both sides of the ball. That is a loaded and talented list. Are they hungry? As for the way to early ranking? Top 5 seems right. However, as all the Forum members know the games are played one game at a time. The talent is there for 11-1 and a 3rd place finish in the BIG. I expect Indiana and tOSU to play for the BIG Crown. GO DUCKS..

Oregon Football: Early 2026 Ranking Projections
How highly should our Oregon football program be ranked entering the 2026 season? Tons of outlets around the sport have started mocking up their way-too-early rankings, and there’s a fair bit of discourse on where our Ducks should be placed in the top 10 after a semifinal College Football Playoff finish in 2025. Which Oregon Player(s) are You Most Disappointed That Have Left the Program to the Portal And Which are You Most Excited to See Come In?
Yes that is true. But that is all part of portal life. It hits every team. We don't know which backups were planned for the future and which ones were just role players. We don't know how the staff feels about them leaving. We don't know how the staff feels about the ones who are staying. We don't know if coaching assistants had anything to do with it. We don't know if the staff felt they had more potential or already reached their ceiling. Etc. Some other backups might be passing them up in 2026? And here is what kind of puzzles me: Why so many D linemen in the portal and so few O linemen? Is it the chance to start next season or is there something else? Any way, the staff has to work around it and put in a depth chart that will work. I can see a scenario where the starting DTs get hurt and there is no quality depth and that tanks the season. Lets hope not.
