  2. Los Angeles TimesCommentary: At sagging USC, Lincoln Riley should be on th...USC is no longer one of the top programs in college football, and Lincoln Riley is a big reason why the Trojans have remained mired in mediocrity. Article is a fun read as it uses the last 16 years of Trojan mediocre to put things in perspective. And they don't mention the Ducks once. But we all know they are thinking of us.
  3. Some pretty crazy stuff there....didn't pay much for OL out of the portal? We got the BEST three OL available out of the porta! Alex Harkey, No. 71, is not a small man...
  4. One member of the Oregon media commented that... "Having spent the week with a bunch of Ohio State reporters, all really nice guys, they rank Autzen right around the top of the atmospheres they've experienced too."
  5. "It is perplexing how big the NIL war-chest for Oregon is, but how little they invested in portal OL dudes. Shoulda tampered because another mediocre season is coming and the only people paying attention to the program will be the homers on here." If it's not huge NIL$$$, what could possibly be the issue? While these guys are busy scratching the bu... er, heads, in bewilderment, they should glance in the mirror and check where the finger points!
  6. It sure sounds like they are going to miss Pregnon! And talk about sour grapes? Whew! "Rewatching some highlight footage from last year and man, will his presence be missed. I know it’s not worth focusing too much on things that now in the past and can’t be changed…but I can’t help but feel like having him would have earned us 1-2 more wins next year due to his undeniable skill as well as the lack of depth at OL." "Absolute road-grader in the run game." "I will add that if DJ Wingfield is not available...OL play could be in trouble, so the wait for Fall Camp is almost here with The OL Job #1, while the defection of Emmanuel Pregnon to Oregon was a low-blow!" "Big loss. Felt that way at the time. Feel stronger about it now. When we are all gnashing our teeth about this OL in November it will be one of those things we all look back and wonder how Oregon got over on us." "Sucks that we lost him, and to a school we constantly go head-to-head in recruiting battles. It's even worse that the dude “replacing” Pregnon, might not be eligible and the depth is mediocre. And the guy who will likely be lining up against our inexperienced replacement when we play Oregon will be another dude we lost in the portal (Bear Alexander) who will likely try his hardest in that one game. "It is perplexing how big the NIL war-chest for Oregon is, but how little they invested in portal OL dudes. Shoulda tampered because another mediocre season is coming and the only people paying attention to the program will be the homers on here."
  7. Hoo-boy! Trojan fans have their skirts blown up over a comment Lanning made at the B1G Media days... (The word is that Pregnon is the one who called Oregon--because he didn't want to play at SC anymore...) Trojan Fans Say... "Not sure if others saw the interview but DL is one weird dude. He just seems slow of brain power." "Isn't this the definition of the pot calling the kettle black?" "Translation: 'I’ll keep doing it until you stop me.” "LOL! Dan is funny." "Careful what you ask for Danny boy!!!!" "I agree that Oregon has always been shady and cheater mother truckers, and Lanning and his crew seemed to have taken it to another level. Only way to deal with that is for USC to get better at everything, and beat the living crap out of the Ducks on regular basis. Oregon has had free rein for a long time in the under the table, shady tactics with Nike connection. Hopefully, with the new NIL, it will level the playing field against these a-holes."

  9. This just means that we are unquestionably good! No doubt about it!
  10. Jon, I was hoping that you just didn't want to give it away, but the author does just say that Penn State will split the games between OSU2 and OBD, but he doesn't say which is the W and which is the L!!!!!
  11. Dakorien Moore among the young players already stepping into leadership roles, Dan Lanning says Oregon coach Dan Lanning has prioritized leadership this offseason as the youthful Ducks are set to break camp
  12. An Oregon-centric Q&A with CBS commentator Gary Danielson Here is an Oregon-centric Q&A with longtime CBS commentator Gary Danielson. Danielson spoke with DuckTerritory for about 15 minutes earlier this week at Big Ten Media Days in Las Vegas.

  16. You may not have noticed the menu bar in the header. There is a new item called “News.” We invited you to explore this section. When you click on the word “News,” you will see an index of multiple links to sports news sites for your enjoyment! During the football season, podcasts were included with the game for that week. Podcasts still are taking place, just not as often. I also have noticed that the podcasts now are covering more than just football. For instance, the one following includes some talk about basketball. Those podcasts will now be posted under this thread as they occur. To see the previous podcast thread click Here as we will keep the thread to no more than 50 podcasts at a time. Check back often for some informative listening. This Thread is for Podcasts ONLY. You can always start a new thread with any of these podcasts for discussion.
  17. Trying to regulate NIL looks like it will be as effective as holding water in a sieve. It just seems like the only way that players will be able to get paid for playing the games is to drop the student/Athlete nonsense now. College football doesn't exist, as we know it anymore. Coaches are professionals, players need to be professionals.
  18. Heard today on B1G Media day 2 interview with Commissioner Petitti. There were 11 Playoff games contested in 2024-25. B1G teams participated in 9 of the 11 games. SEC teams participated in 4 of the games. Pawalll, how do you like them apples? 💩
  19. Pretty spot on. IMO - No matter what regulations old people start tossing around to feel better about themselves, the end result will be the same. The top-20 from 10 years ago will pretty much look the same 10 years from now.
  20. It's a way of trying to make paying players sound palatable. There's been a wink wink under the table payment plan in place since the Pony Express. The NCAA would go after certain cases just to make themselves feel better, but I've seen kids from downtrodden Orange Blossom Trail driving around in Jaguars, Lambos, and H2's back in the late 2000's around campus. I could barely afford gas for my beat up old Nova after buying things like textbooks and things the GI Bill didn't cover when I was in college.
  21. NIL is like anything else, Name or No Name, a players NIL is how ever much he, or she, can get.

This Can't (end) Well, can it? 😁 EssentiallySportsJackson Cantwell’s $2M Miami Luxury Triggers Mack Brown’s...Former UNC head coach Mack Brown warns tough times for GMs and coaches as critical decision lay in store amid new changes in CFB
  23. Half of the questions are B1G questions. However, No. 1 is asking whether Arch Manning will justify Arch Madness and lead Texas to a title. I wish OBD and the B1G would get the same attention from their broadcast partners; something akin to ESPN pouring sugar on the SEC. Compared to the SEC, Fox hides its CFB coverage under a bushel. This is also the case when trumpeting upcoming broadcasts and broadcasting many B1G games at High Noon and not Prime Time. The Big Ten Network did an excellent job of covering B1G Media Days, but ESPN has many more subscribers who watched SEC Media Days. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-football/what-10-biggest-on-field-questions-2025-college-football-season
