  2. “Who (sic.) is college football’s (CFB) most popular team? An unscientific (and grammatically incorrect) study.” The above is the lead for a recent article in The Athletic (It has a pay-wall) which determined that Michigan, ironically, was CFB’s most fan-favorite team. With the Wolverines being under investigation for scouting future opponents in violation of NCAA rules, Michigan as the fan-favorite ... Read More Source Read the full article here...
  3. Thanks Jon!! I hope the Gator football boys take some inspiration from the basketball program. If we could win two out of three vs Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas I would expect a playoff appearance as long as business gets taken care of vs LSU, Miami and South Carolina. As for the Penn State vs Oregon game I think Big Noon is doing a disservice to B1G fans. Oregon is at Penn State for the first time. This is a rematch of an entertaining B1G title game. Both programs should be top 5. How is this not the primetime whiteout game? It's a beautiful sight at night and you know Oregon would probably have Darth Vader type uniforms to offset all that white. Throw Ohio State on Big Noon. Michigan vs USC could be an afternoon game leading up to Oregon at Penn State. What do I know though? I hope you get a chance to go to this game Jon. If not I hope you and all the great Duck fans who can't take Charles up on his invitation get to watch it with friends and family.
  4. Guess the guy should be glad he didn’t have an Adidas tattoo as well.
  5. I actually gave some notes to Rich Brooks at Oregon Club about how the research at that time showed that the color pink would drain energy, and this was quite a deliberate tactic to help their home field advantage. My understanding, is that Oregon took poster and construction paper, and managers taped it up in the locker room when they got there. You’re welcome!
  6. I have a good friend with Iowa season tickets, if he's not to embarrassed to have a Duck fan sitting next to him maybe I'll make it out for this one. Anyone seen a game in Kinnick Stadium?
  7. B12 has never been interested under any scenario, Why would they suddenly be interested in adding a couple outpost programs that add nothing to the mix? When the B12 went west they added the top programs from the cities of Phoenix, Tucson, SLC, and Denver. Why is now the time to willingly add some leaches? I find this a bit hard to believe.
  8. The Wave to children in the hospital is at the end of the 1st quarter. Historical matchup scores - none were against an Iowa team that finished above .500 1949 - Ducks 31-34 in Iowa City (Iowa was 4-5 end of season) 1989 - Ducks 44-6 in Iowa City (Iowa was 5-6) 1994 - Ducks 40-18 in Eugene (Iowa was 5-5-1) Kinnick Stadium holds 69,250. Built in 1929, re-named after Nile Kinnick in 1972 who was Heisman winner in 1939. Died as a Navy pilot in WWII. Similar to Rich Brooks Field, the Iowa field is named after Duke Slater who was the first Black player in the College Football Hall of Fame, and first Black lineman in the NFL. The stadium is the only college stadium named after a Heisman winner. When Hayden Fry was head coach, the visitor locker room was remodeled in pink which includes everything from pink urinals to pink lockers. Fry was a psychology major in college and believed pink would lead to a "passive response". It was pink in 1989 when the Ducks throttled the Hawkeyes 44-6. November 8, game day, the average temperature range is 31 degrees low to 51 degrees high.
  9. Obstinate leadership is the only term that comes to mind. Stealing money that they didn’t earn apparently was legal, but really just allows them to keep the lights on for awhile. They need to have a long term plan that increases sports revenue, or decrease expenses. The solution may mean cutting the number of sports programs they offer. Joining the BIG 12 makes more sense than the slow demise they are currently facing. Their players certainly are not loving what they are hearing from their coaches and administrators.

  11. Again... Oregon State and Washington State both should have used that Pac-12 money to buy their way into the Big 12. Take no TV revenue until the next contract and throw some money to the rest of the big 12 as an entrance fee and live off the rest of the pac-12 coffers for a few years. I would imagine that would be preferable to their current situation.
  12. Oregon Ducks Quarterback Dante Moore Has 'Keys To Lamborghini' Says Terrance Ferguson Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore has "keys to the Lamborghini" says former teammate Terrance Ferguson. 13. Austin Novosad turning heads in QB competition for Oregon football Coming into spring camp and eventually this fall for the 2025 college football season, it's been, fairly or unfairly, assumed by many fans that Dante Moore will be the starting quarterback for the Oregon Ducks. But redshirt sophomore Austin Novosad didn't come to Oregon to just hold a clipboard and watch from the sideline. Novosad wants to play and he's doing everything he can to make sure he's does just that. His efforts and development on and off the field haven't gone unnoticed by head coach Dan Lanning or the coaching staff. "I think the guy's just a winner. I mean, he has become really comfortable in our system," Lanning said. "He understands it, you know. And I think that Coach Stein and the offensive staff do a good job of continuing to push that, but he's just really level-headed." 21. The Oregon Ducks, Nike and Phil Knight are grouped together. Bussin' With The Boys posted a video of Ducks coach Dan Lanning gifting podcast host Taylor Lewan a new pair of Nike shoes. The video had Lewan walking into Lanning’s office with a pair of Reebok shoes. Lanning stopped him and made sure he put on some Nike shoes instead. “I’m sorry, we got some hard rules in this place. 23. This game SHOUTS a tough-gritty-lucky-to-win-like-Wisconsin kind of game. We will have shoot-out in September with Penn State, but this Iowa game in November? NOT Good...
  24. I received a text yesterday from a very loyal Oregon fan who told me that he saw in Instagram that Oregon State is now going to the Big-12? I started thinking about all the ramifications, of all the Pac-12 money going to the Cougars, how Beavis would drop all their work done when a good offer came their way? (Just like Oregon, who they condemn?) Then I did a Google Search; nothing came up. I checked with one of the largest Oregon State messages boards....nothing. But I did learn that SEVEN players of the Beaver Mens Basketball team are in the portal, and word was--the women in Corvallis are leaving their team as well, and leaving HC Scott Rueck in a tough spot? Holy Crap! Then I checked on that, and found that EIGHT members of the OSU Womens Team are transferring out! So Beavis, do you believe in KARMA, NOW? (Good gosh, I enjoy being brutal on Beavis....)
