  6. Agree. We need to close on a few of these OL guys. If we do that, I will be happy.
  7. We have 10 verbals right now and with a loaded young team, it makes sense to take maybe 15 or 16 total and save the money for the portal candidates in the future, since there will probably be quite a few of them!

  12. All of that is tolerable, but they better not even think about calling it,
  13. Charles is correct. The whole thing with retaining "Pac12" is money related. For example, the Rose Bowl contract is with the Pac12. As a result, OSU/WSU will receive $50M for the 2025 game, and another $50M for the 2026 game. Then, the existing Rose Bowl contract expires. That would have been money split 12 ways. I doubt there is any plan to split that 2026 game money with the new members of the Pac. There is no way OSU/WSU were going to walk away from that by merging with the Mt. West or renaming the conference. There is also some residual value in retaining the logo, web page, office signs, etc. etc. that don't have to be replaced.
  14. The 2027 schedule is brutal. Looking ahead, it will likely be in the most difficult top 10. Six home games will not help the cause. A road game at Baylor is piling on to Michigan in Ann Arbor, along with Nebraska and UW on the road, and Ohio State, Penn State, and Iowa in Autzen. If Rob is going to cancel, in fairness to Baylor, it needs to happen soon so both schools can book another game. Replacing the game with a cash payment to Portland State for another home game would be fine with me. An OBD win against a B12 team will not move the PO needle, but a loss will not go unnoticed. Oregon does not need P4 Baylor to goose the 2027 schedule.
  15. So far Oregon has mainly stayed out of the auction setting that recruiting has become now days, but will, should they go all in for this stud edge rusher? 20. 'Everything Changed' because Greg Sankey Threw a B1G Sucker Punch Why the Big Ten, SEC alliance turned sour -- and what it means for future College Football Playoff format - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM The Big Ten and SEC were on the same page this spring, but that all changed in June Greg did not receive Perfect Consciousness before the SEC spring meetings, right? Didn't know the SEC coaches wanted to stay with eight conference games. Didn't know the coaches did not want to play a B1G team every season. Didn't know a pamphlet would be sitting there using the ESecPN FPI to justify staying at eight games. This is a B1G pile of disingenuous, deceitful, male, bovine excrement!

  24. Omigosh. A little humor about the Pac-12 trying to add schools--from a writer at The Athletic... ---------------------------------------- A comprehensive case for the Pac-12 ensuring all of its football members continue to have "State" in their names: "The obvious next choice for Pac-12 expansion is Florida State. "1. Adds the Florida footprint to the premier West Coast conference. "2. A built-in rivalry with Fresno State. Who’s the REAL FSU?? "3. In their filing against the ACC, Florida State said they would have preferred adding Oregon State instead of Cal and Stanford. Now’s your chance, Noles. Tallahassee is very near the west coast of a coastal state, after all.
