  2. Well, obviously the goal is a national championship, so anything less brings with it a bit of disappointment. Oregon has one of the best coaches and is one of the top programs in the country, so not winning it all should bring a little disappointment. However, I do think getting to the semifinals should be considered a successful season, so long as Oregon is competitive in said semifinal game. I can’t imagine that Oregon wouldn’t be competitive in any game, so long as they don’t just have an uncharacteristically terrible game. So for on the field success, I say get to the semifinals. While in truth I’ll be a bit disappointed for the Ducks if they don’t win it all. One thing I’d love to see but is also my worst nightmare is Oregon and UGA playing for it all! If that happens I’ll be much worse than a nervous wreck come January 19th!😂 I do very much hope it happens though!!!
  3. I would like OBD to play Alabama in the Semifinals. Been hoping to play them for years.
  4. Even though I am a rabid fan who wants very much for OBD to become the national champions, for me, a successful season is graduating young men of character. I am happy for the program if that happens.
  5. How can making the CFP not be termed a successful season? I certainly consider this team and season a success. Now a second season begins of post season playoff games. The only success in post season is to win the title. I will term two wins as “a good showing” in the playoffs. Beyond that a “final four finish, runner-up, or a national championship winner”. It is what it is, and is pretty straight forward.

  7. What is the minimum Oregon has to do for you to consider the season a success? I ask this question now because I assume most of us would have been disappointed with the season had the Ducks not made the playoffs. Now that they have, I'll bet there's a little more diversity of thought about how to define a successful season. Winning one playoff game isn't enough for me. I view the game against JMU as a "non-conference warm-up game". If this game is anything less than a warm-up game (i.e., close game), I have far bigger concerns. Winning two playoff games is my minimum requirement to consider the year a success. The Ducks can't go out against a BIG 12 team; can't happen. The Ducks need to make it to the Semi-Final game . . . otherwise I'll be a Negative Nancy.
  8. Jordan "Oregon, comfortably". Agreed, the only doubt is who wins the coin toss.
  9. I think the game is a coinflip. I'm rooting for Oklahoma.
  10. WIN / WIN, just WIN
  11. Good call. But if DeBoer wins in Norman, I don't think he'll be able to put out a Cig in Pasadena. 😉 A score over DeBoer could Just Mean More, no doubt, but I want revenge for this season's loss. 🤬
  12. Worth noting that there are multiple in conference teams that also hired a new coach during the same time frame as Beavis. Their new coaches strength is supposed to be recruiting 🤔
  13. When making fun of the sheephumpers remember, Ben Siegert Did Not Steal A Gay Ram
  14. On sports book has first half props: OBD - 11.5 (like it a lot) & JMU +6.5
  15. Yes, the best thing is that the SEC will lose a game. Too bad they can't both lose. All that said, I would rather have Bama lose, because if they win they will say, "I told you we belong in the CFP." ...and then they will whine and cry next year too. I have Alabama/SEC Exhaustion Syndrome.
  16. If you call Joey, Fat again, I'll have your legs broken. 😁 BTW, for more Jeopardy-like useless historic information, call 1- 800 - WHO- CARES. DUNK the DUKES!
  17. There is no winner in this lose / lose situation. But I wouldn't mind the possibility of Dan righting the ship vs DeBoer.
  18. If Portland State drops down a division, will the Beavs jump at the chance to fill that void and become a .500 team again?
  19. It is the Duck's fault. Just ask them. Imagine a world where your favorite college football team is out-recruited by Utah State. Imagine.
  20. Oklahoma. Alabama should never have gotten into the playoff with 3 losses.
  21. I'm looking for DL and co. to make a statement in this first playoff game, win by 40.
  22. Mateer is finally back to 100%. The OC will adapt the play calling to that reality and Mateer wil be slinging the ball to his NFL wide receivers suddenly giving Oklahoma an offense to match their defense, making them a contender to win it all. This game is going to look like a repeat of the SEC championship with Alabama not looking like they belong on the field.
  23. *Sorry for the terrible screen grab. Can’t seem to straighten it out at the moment!
  24. I’m definitely not noble 😆 PAC Standings
  25. Thanks, Jordan. JMU took A(n) C(urious) C(ourse) to the PO, which was aided and abetted by a once-great basketball conference tie-breakers, and a choke in Charlotte. I do not believe it will matter tomorrow, but JMU was named after the guy, Jemmy, who his peers, including Franklin and Jefferson, considered to be the brightest of their bunch. Jemmy has the distinction of going 2-0 as a wartime president, and he also won the peace after both wars, a singular achievement for a president of the USA. In 1814, when the British sacked DC, Jemmy and his wife, Dolly, were among the last to evacuate the President's House. Dolly refused to leave the burning premises without taking the portrait of George Washington with them. I imagine Jemmy would be proud of his football team, and he would have been happy about knocking the PO out of Duke, but not wild over the moniker, Dukes. With all due respect to James, Dolly, and the Commonwealth of Virginia, Destroy the Dukes!
  26. If the DeBoer to UM smoke is real, it’s enough of a distraction to tip the scales imo
