  3. Hummm, big SEC shakeup coming next week . . . Looks like Texas Tech is getting hosed this week with a bye. Hitting themselves will certainly be more dangerous than 'Bama vs Illinois (Opps, sorry, Eastern Ill), Georgia vs Rhett Butler's Ex's sister Charlotte, and TA&M vs the misspelling of the junk yard owners' names, Samford (without his son).

  5. 2025 opponents 9-2 Montana State 1-9 Oklahoma St 5-5 Northwestern 2-9 Oregon State 4-6 Penn State 11-0 Indiana 5-5 Rutgers 3-7 Wisconsin 6-4 Iowa 6-4 Minnesota 8-2 USC - next at Oregon 7-3 Washington - next at UCLA Indiana and USC are currently ranked. The Ducks have very little margin for error relative to the CFP.
  6. So... Even though USC beat an inferior Iowa team they will get the same amount of credit for beating them as we do. But our win gets the Penn State treatment... Diminished for what happened after our game. I think there is an interesting discussion to be had about how do ranked wins count. Do they count in the moment, the end of the season, or something in between? Hard to say. It's probably an off season article for sure. I'll save that for later. But our win against Iowa regardless just lost its shine. Now time to beat the Trojans for them to get injured in the process and lose to UCLA and that win to become worthless.

  8. I have a couple concerns about OBD, first off is that Moore has had some trouble at times at throwing to wide open receivers. Two throws to Sadiq are perfect examples, he was wide open but he had to make a great diving catches. One of them was the one he got hurt on a couple weeks ago. He also has done the same to other receivers. I hope he can solve this issue in the USC game. The other issue is how handsy (if that is a word) our DB are, they have had a number of PI calls against them and many that were not called. If they call it tight against USC it could be trouble.
  9. I see a shootout coming. I watched some of the USC/IA game and as usual USC has some studs for receivers. Plus for the Ducks is Moore and our RB's.
  10. The Iowa coach didnt have the chance to see the best receivers Oregon had due to injury.
  11. Makai Lemon is an absolute stud but we have Autzen Stadium! GO DUCKS!
  12. I read this morning that Iowa lost 3 of its 5 o-line starters by very early second half. That probably made some difference in how they weren't able to move the line of scrimmage in the second half. The replacements were pretty inexperienced. Iowa's coach called Lemon the best receiver he's seen in 20 years.
  13. The USC passing game is pretty darn good, and they were making GREAT catches in the pouring rain. Oregon's offense has to know they will need to score a boatload to stay on top, and for those who point out how Iowa ran the ball so well on USC? Yeah...in the first half. In the second half the Trojans shut the Iowa offense down, unlike our defense in the fourth quarter a week ago. USC is running the ball better, and their passing game is elite. Their defense is not great, but improved and damn-it....they have a ton of incentive to play for. I believe we have the superior squad overall, but we have to show it. While we can survive with Benson, the BEAST, and Jamari Johnson, (One WR, and two TEs to focus on) I wish we could get one WR back between Bryant, Dak, or Stewart. I'm sure Bryant would love to play the team he transferred from... The most pleasant surprise for me this season is the secondary, and that matchup is crucial for the next two games as the Bastard Huskies have a great passing game as well. I expect a higher-scoring game where our secondary will eventually make some plays that decide the game, and the seven point line might be pretty accurate. Needed: Painful Sacks...

Ducks second GameDay gig presents epic opportunity for colossal recruiting coupOregonian beat writer James Crepea notes that for ESPN College Football GameDay's return trip to Eugene Saturday, it happens that on the NFL schedule, the Broncos, Chargers and Commanders all have bye weeks. Nothing has been announced, but there's an Oregon-yellow opportunity for the Ducks to have Bo Nix, Justin Herbert and Marcus Mariota in town as special guests for a showdown with USC that has playoff implications. It'd be appointment television if the three legendary Webfoot quarterbacks made it to Eugene as guest pickers on the show, a huge showcase for Oregon football recruiting and the program's growing reputation as Quarterback U. 17. Good news in the sense that the B1G, especially after the SEC stole the show in Week 12, needs the publicity. Trisaitekaphobia? It's Week 13. The Iowa at SC game was the worst possible scenario for OBD. In front of a terrific crowd on a rain-drenched Saturday in LA, SC didn't just win; it authored a thrilling comeback win against a tough-as-nails foe. Hats off to SC, but it looked to me like Iowa wilted after a brutal loss the week prior and a trip to the West Coast. 9-4 (13 - 🫢) in Autzen when GameDay is in Eugene. Not bad considering the opposition that helps draw the ESPN crew to Eugene, but not at Dan Lanning's win percentage record at home. Dan, please keep your shirt on! 20. Oregon Ducks move into top 5 of US LBM Coaches Poll after Alabama loss The Ducks now sit at No. 5 in the nation after their 42-13 blowout win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday night. Here's a look at the top of the US LBM Coaches Poll: Ohio State Buckeyes Indiana Hoosiers Texas A&M Aggies Georgia Bulldogs Oregon Ducks Ole Miss Rebels Texas Tech Red Raiders Oklahoma Sooners Notre Dame Fighting Irish Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Oregon is now facing a tough test this weekend in Autzen Stadium, with the No. 16 USC Trojans coming to town for a Big Ten showdown that will hold massive weight in the College Football Playoff race. That game will be played at 12:30 p.m. PST and aired on CBS, and will bring ESPN's "College GameDay" to Eugene.

  24. ESPN's 'College GameDay' traveling to Oregon for Week 13 game vs USC Saturday, Nov. 22, will mark the 33rd time Oregon will be featured on "GameDay" and first time since 2007 that "GameDay" has traveled to Eugene twice in the same season. The Ducks have a 20-14 record when on the show, and 9-4 when featured as the home team. Oregon is coming off an impressive 42-13 win over Minnesota on Friday, Nov. 14. Dante Moore threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns, while Jordon Davison added two rushing touchdowns. The Ducks have won four in a row since the loss to the Hoosiers, which snapped an 18-game home winning streak. USC is coming off a 26-21 win over Iowa to extend its winning streak to three straight games since a 34-24 loss to Notre Dame on Oct. 18. The Trojans are still alive for the College Football Playoff, and a win vs. Oregon could get them right back into the thick of the race. A loss, of course, could eliminate them. Oregon and USC are both former members of the Pac-12, which moved over to the Big Ten ahead of the 2025 season. The Trojans lead the all-time series 38-23-2, with the Ducks winning the last three games.
  25. OREGON ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2025 OREGON FOOTBALL | @oregonfootball EUGENE, Ore. — ESPN's "College GameDay" pregame show will make its second trip to Eugene this season and 14th all-time ahead of the Oregon football team's top-25 matchup against USC on Saturday in Autzen Stadium. The game will be televised by CBS, with kickoff scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Oregon will be featured on the popular pregame show for the third time this season. "College GameDay" was produced from the site of the Ducks' double-overtime win at Penn State in Week 5, and then came to Eugene on Oct. 11 when Oregon hosted Indiana on Oct. 11. This marks the first time since 2007 that "College GameDay" has traveled to Eugene twice in the same season. No. 8 Oregon (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) will host No. 17 USC (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten) for the first time since 2023. The Ducks have won three straight against the Trojans and five of the last six meetings. The Ducks are 20-14 all-time when playing in a game featured by "College GameDay," including 9-4 at home. The set for "College GameDay" will again be situated on the Memorial Quad on the University of Oregon campus. More details on the production will be announced as they become available.
  26. And you know they're upset they aren't playing at their place when it would have normally rotated back to USC home but the conference change messed with that. And they dodged us in 2024. Bring on the Trojan Tears!
  27. USC is significantly better in the trenches this year, although if they do have a weakness it would be pass blocking, but our defensive strategy is to pressure the QB without allowing escape lanes which is why we get home infrequently. We trust our secondary to hold up longer and defend the pass better. Makai Lemon, like Serrat is going to make some catches. There is no defense for the perfect pass and catch. I think if there is a weakness on USC's DL it's the edges. Their strength is in the middle.
