Heisman Trophy Articles, Updates
Early in the college football season, huge swings often occur in the Heisman Trophy odds. The favorite to win the award throughout the entire offseason, Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning, dropped significantly after a disappointing season-opener against a stout Ohio State defense. Now, after a five-touchdown performance against San Jose State, Manning is back in the fifth spot — right behind Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore. Oregon QB Dante Moore creeps into top 5 of Heisman odds after impressive Week 2 outing

2025 Football Poll Rankings
Oregon stays put in the US LBM Coaches poll after big win over Oklahoma StateOne might have thought the Oregon Ducks football team would have moved up a little in the US LBM Coaches poll after their big 69-3 win over Oklahoma State. No dice. The Ducks stayed at No. 5 in the poll, along with everyone else in the Top 5. But the Big Ten is dominating the poll with Ohio State (No. 1), Penn State (No. 2) and Oregon leading the way. Georgia at No. 3 and LSU at No. 4 round out the Top 5 despite mediocre wins over smaller schools. US LBM Coaches poll

2025 Oregon - Oklahoma State Post-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
Five takeaways from CFB Week 2: OU is back, Oregon is dangerous and Billy Napier is feeling the heatOregon looks better than ever Maybe the most important big-picture takeaway is that Oregon looks even better than last season. The Ducks beat Oklahoma State like it was a D2 program (69-3). Oregon passed for 319 yards and ran for 312. Each of its top two backs had runs that covered more than 50 yards. Dante Moore was flawless, completing 16 of 21 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns. The defense dominated, too, with two sacks, two takeaways and just 211 yards allowed. The rest of college football better watch out because the Oregon Ducks are for real. Five takeaways from CFB Week 2

The PAC 2 Have Gotten Worse At a Breathtaking Pace
I think Beavis has an outside shot at 0-12 now. They’re almost certainly starting 0-6 imo, 1-5 at best. The last 6 games on their schedule are pathetic, but so are they. WSU looks like the better team, and they play twice. Some of those random teams are going to have better athletes than they think. I’d put their ceiling at 4-8 at this point.

2025 BIG Info, Predictions, Etc. (10)
Thank you, Steven, for all of the great 'day-after' posts. These rankings are an example of why playing a ranked opponent OOC may not be a good idea. Michigan, with a true freshman QB, goes on the road to play the AP's No. 16 team, does not get blown out by a team with the portal's No. 1-ranked QB, and drops two spots from No. 7 to 9th. Drops behind UW and Nebraska teams that have played easier schedules to date. I know this is just for grins 😁but we saw the same from the PO Committee last season that had a team with an SOS in the mid-80s ranked the ninth best in the nation. Michigan has one of the easiest in-conference schedules. The Wolverines will not have Sherrone Moore with them in Week 4 when they play at Nebraska, but win this game and 10-2 is doable.

How 'BOUT That Offensive Line?
The no. 2 OL looked really good. I think there is a lot for confidence in Pickard as the backup. Last year he got Doug Brennered because the coaches threw him in at center and put him in a situation he wasn't ready for. Last year the coaches were clearly scrambling to out an offensive line together and they found a combo. This year they have layers of options. I also think it doesn't hurt to have a right handed quarterback again and having a normal blind side. At the start of last season the right side was the weak side and it was made worse by being Gabriel's blind side. He just didn't always see the pressures coming.

It’s not just the OL blocking great. The skill position players are getting after it as well.

Indeed. The FIU, Who Knew!, defense held up well late into yesterday's game against the Nits rushing attack. Of course, this game was a Snooze Out and not a White Out. This will be OBD's D 3rd game vs. DC Jim Knowles. OBD is 1-1. Many solid players on the D side of the ball for Penn State, but Caleb Downs is not one of them. The Ducks have the weapons to win a shootout. No doubt, Week 5 will be a B1G test.

Legit concern. I'm looking to see a bit more from those guys. Oregon is not in the top 10 in rushing or passing defense, and barely top 10 in scoring defense... against poorer competition. We are sitting at 46th nationally for sacks. 75th in tfl's...

I will say this, The Ducks first 2 games have been astounding. The total package of the Offense incl blocking and pass protection is awesome.

ESPN's FPI Flips to Find the Ducks the Favorite For the Natty.
My main concern at this time is the inside D-line. Can they hold up to a rush attack from Penn State?
