  2. I was hoping that Penn State would have a bit of a test before OBD invade Happy Valley, but it doesn't look like it, though that could be a good thing; Nevada, FIU and Villanova provide the competition. The Trojans open with Missouri State, Washington starts with Colorado State. Indiana? Old Dominion.
  3. To me this was his most impressive. South Carolina has become the new Goliath and Geno just came back after a nine year stretch. Many young ladies were almost too young to remember the UCONN dominance. I'd like to remind people of the late great Pat Summit. She really helped elevate women's basketball back in the day when it wasn't prominent at all. Tennessee vs UCONN helped establish WCBB.
  4. Wide Receiver Coach Ross Douglas brings work ethic to the Ducks. Energy, enthusiasm, and effort - can't beat that! Oregon Ducks' Dan Lanning Reveals What Makes New Hire Ross Douglas Special WWW.SI.COM Oregon Ducks coach Dan Lanning spoke after spring practice on Tuesday. Lanning raved about new wide receivers coach Ross Douglas. Douglas was hired by the Ducks

  6. FSU hit the transfer portal hard last off-season and thought they could build a roster instead of of supplement one that way. As far as Alabama goes, if Saban was the guy on the sidelines I wouldn't question the Tide at all. The way a very talented and deep Tide squad lost at Vanderbilt, crapped the bed vs Oklahoma and Michigan has me concerned. Was there a more Jekyll &Hyde QB than Milroe? I haven't seen more people divided on a NFL prospect than that guy. I wouldn't take him before round five, same thing for Dart. But I've seen some mocks that have both guys as first to early second. Probably the Browns and Raiders tbh. But back to Alabama and FSU, I think the game will be closer than most assume. If the line is anything above a four I would be shocked. I'm no gambler but I'd take the under on that. Opening week is tough, actually opening month is. Who would've seen NIU beating Notre Dame a week after the Irish beat Texas A&M? Idaho gave Oregon their third hardest game all year. Many Duck fans and fans nationally thought Gabriel wasn't going to be able to handle B1G defenses after the first two weeks. He did far more than handle them though. I never root for Alabama, except of course if they are playing the chop chop shop boys. I'll root for anybody over them. If Alabama plays up to their talent level I see a beating. I'm just not sold on them being able to do that in week one. I hope they prove me wrong for one week at least. As far as Notre Dame vs Miami? I see a clubbing of the candy canes. Freeman is a far better coach.
  7. This is another part in my ongoing series about the Oregon football schedule in 2025, but this article is dedicated to just one opponent because of the challenge it will present in November. Even Mr. FishDuck took a break from his fun at Melbet India because he is concerned about a classic Big-Ten power matchup in the cold part... Hawkeyes Will Be a Very Tough Away Game for the Ducks | FishDuck FISHDUCK.COM This is another part in my ongoing series about the Oregon football schedule in 2025, but this article is dedicated to just one opponent...

  8. As to the premise of this article, I wholeheartedly agree!
  9. After last season, I think the crap shoot really is what happens if FSU loses by 28 at home to open the season? Lose by 50 get fired on the sideline? Great thread, gimme some football!
  10. I don't see Bama-FSU as a crapshoot. Though I can't say who will be under center (is anybody actually there anymore) Bama's roster is loaded with elite talent and I don't believe that FSU's is so blessed. I'd guess Bama wins this one comfortably.
  11. Didn’t scroll down far enough on the list of games, ND@Miami pretty epic on multiple levels
  12. Remember that nobody had Florida as a top 25 program. Heck all year Florida never got one first place vote despite blowing out number one Tennessee and Auburn on the road. Florida lost four SEC games against teams that all made the tournament btw and no other losses. They blew out Alabama and Tennessee to win the SEC tournament and barely got the last one seed. Florida isn't even top 20 in the top early rankings next year. The basketball people have Houston number one, Duke number two and Auburn top 5. Look at all the players they're losing and tell me they don't have unknowns. But in the end it doesn't matter. Florida didn't have one top 150 player on it's to roster this year. Guess who has the trophy though? A team that was built through NIL in the portal. Oregon has a pretty good NIL collective I've heard. Remember that Todd Golden had never won a single NCAA tournament game before this year. Oregon doesn't have that issue either. Let the media disrespect the Duck. The B1G hasn't won a title in 25 years, what better way to celebrate your second year in the conference than winning the championship in both basketball and football. A feat that only one program has ever done before. Go prove them wrong. The basketball media is worse than the football if you can believe it.
  13. That Clemson vs LSU game is the 2019 championship rematch. Both teams have Heisman contending QBs coming back. Dabo has gone again nst his nature and hit the transfer portal to plug some holes. Brian Kelly *gave up a million dollars of salary to help the school retain some talent. Is he feeling the heat? Alabama vs FSU is a complete crapshoot. Who's starting at QB for both programs. DeBoer got his offensive coordinator back this year as Grubb spent a year coaching in the NFL with Green Bay. How much impact will that play? Nebraska is playing at Cincy. Will Rhule build off his first bowl win? I think he has to be on the hot seat if they don't win at least 8 games.
  14. Hard to top that one! Depends on how they’re defining week zero this year There are several games on 8/23, but there are quite a few good/interesting first games (on paper at least) a week later. Alabama@FSU and Auburn@Baylor are the types of games that could lead to some very hot seats or some big program turnarounds. GaTech@CU very interesting game, ditto LSU@Clemson.
  15. Ducks were 27th in AP ranking with 25-10 record. Six ranked teams had 24 wins or less. Four of those 6 were from the SEC, such as No. 20 Arkansas (22-14) The Ducks were 8-8 in Quad 1 games, 10-2 in Quad 2. Perhaps some of the AP voters aren't paying attention? That being said about 2025, the Ducks have not been consistently ranked in the final AP ranking in the last few years. 2025: 27th 2024: 27th 2023: NR 2022: NR 2021: 31st 2020: 13th - no Tournament, so 13th final regular season poll 2019: NR 2018: NR 2017: 9th in AP before Tournament, final Coaches poll was No. 3 after Duck's Final Four appearance 2016: 5th
  16. We all know that our current staff has recruited talent at an unprecedented level. In the short time they have been in Eugene they already have players that are on NFL rosters that they recruited via the transfer portal. The young guns they recruited in the first year are just now eligible for the NFL draft. If you take into account redshirt players, some of the first year high school talent recruited by DL’s staff, still have a couple year’s of eligibility. I would expect NFL teams to acquire quite a few players on the current roster, or committed for 2026.
  17. I know it's softball and baseball season, but we're only a few months away from week zero in football. The biggest opening week game imo is Texas vs Ohio State. Anybody have any other games they're looking forward to?
  18. In both major polls, Oregon is now the No. 4 team in the nation, and UCLA is No. 7 or No. 8, while Nebraska and Ohio State are between No. 21-25 on the two polls. Pretty cool!

  20. Hopefully a winning combination. Oregon Ducks' Ross Douglas Bringing 'Patriot Way' to Eugene WWW.SI.COM With a second week of the Oregon Ducks' spring football training underway, fans are getting to hear from a few new faces joining the flock this season. One of t Plus high praise for frosh WR Moore. Oregon Ducks' Dakorien Moore 'A Freak,' Per Quarterback Austin Novosad WWW.SI.COM Oregon Ducks quarterback Austin Novosad spoke to the media after spring practice on Tuesday, and he had some high praise for Oregon freshman wide receiver Dakor
  21. This. Florida lost in first round last year if I’m not mistaken. Wild thing about basketball is that one player can flip everything, anyone guessing anything prior to the portal running its course is just…guessing. As to Wilner, at this point he’s up there with clownzano in my world view.
  22. Way to Early basketball predictions are just as useless as football are. It's hard to project Oregon to challenge in the B1G. It is good to remember though that Florida wasn't picked to win the SEC.
  23. Measuring stick time. OBD have definitely left 2017 behind where Draft Day is concerned. But there is only one Duck expected to go in the 1st round, maybe. Osu2, Georgia, even the Alabama that had PAWL crying, will fill the 1st & 2nd rounds. Oregon still has a way to go.
  24. Be nice if Oregon could add the Mbiya kid from the French U21A League... Would possibly help development of all the bigs.
  25. What Elite Running Back Recruit Jaxsen Stokes Said About Oregon Ducks Visit The Oregon Ducks recently hosted one of the top running backs in the 2027 recruiting class, Jaxsen Stokes over the past weekend. Oregon running back coach Ra'Shaad Samples has keyed in on Stokes out of Sierra Canyon High School in Southern California. What Elite Running Back Recruit Jaxon Stokes Said About Oregon Ducks Visit WWW.SI.COM The Oregon Ducks haven't had any problems recruiting the running back position since the arrival of Ra'Shaad Samples as the new running backs coach last year. 26. Spring Camp Report: Spring Practice 6 The Ducks held their sixth practice of the spring as they approach the Spring Game on April 26. Following the practice Head Coach Dan Lanning, Assistant Coach Ross Douglas, wide receiver Gary Bryant Jr. and QB Austin Novosad all spoke with media. Check out their availability Spring Camp Report: Spring Practice 6 OREGON.RIVALS.COM Following practice today Dan Lanning, Ross Douglas, Gary Bryant Jr. and Austin Novosad all spoke with media.
  27. Absolutely agree. Part what the team was last year, part conjecture on how it will do next year, then extrapolate that for all the teams for SOS, huh, what?
  28. Good for Brock, I guess, but he was actually a good broadcaster.
