  1. Indiana is leading Nebraska 56-7 and will be 7-0. Will play at Ohio State in November. Miami is up 52-38 late. Will be 7-0. Only possible loss will be in ACC Championship game.
  2. Indiana? The University campus is 51 miles from the site of the Big Ten Championship game. Can you imagine what the environment for an opponent would be?
  3. So far, this Big Ten season, the focus of difficulty has been on Away games. For Oregon, at Michigan and at Wisconsin remain.
  4. Lanning post-game: Ferguson had an appendectomy. He hope to see him back soon.
  5. "Novasad in before Moore." Each has now participated in two games. Four game or less rule still in effect to preserve eligibility for a redshirt year. Bowl games no longer count towards the 4.
  6. Wait until you see how differently the games are called in Big Ten basketball. The Ducks better be spending time in the weight room.
  7. And, for the individual schools.... Game day revenue. Better matchups, higher ticket prices. SEC has lower season ticket prices than you might think, particularly in bottom half of conference. And, for some schools which don't normally sell out....looking at you UCLA/USC...and some others, more fannies in seats means more concessions, parking, souvenirs, donations.
  8. Why? Answer in the column... Sources said eyes were opened this season after administrators saw the earning potential of games like Texas-Michigan and Alabama-Wisconsin. Those games were scheduled before the latest round of realignment, but scheduling more of them in the future would raise revenue for the two conferences already far ahead of the rest of FBS in earning power. With major college sports about to be hit with the financial stressors of revenue sharing (and possibly collective bargaining) in the future, any way to generate more revenue these days has to be taken seriously. The Big Ten and SEC are seemingly open to the idea now that it has become possible in the expanded playoff to lose multiple games and still be selected. Those "challenge" games would enhance schedule strength and not necessarily penalize teams for losing them.
  9. Highest for Big Ten prime time game since 2008 Penn State win at Ohio State (10.4M, 8:00 pm, ABC) - wasn't a great night for Terrelle Pryor....lost 6-13. 2024: Portland was third highest local market rating for Oregon-Ohio State with 12.4 rating/48 share. Columbus dwarfed all with a 27.0/64. Biggest audiences in order were Columbus, Cleveland, Portland, Cincinnati and Detroit
  10. Provided big ratings for NBC Sports, as it drew the largest primetime audience for a regular season Big Ten conference football game since 2008. NBC Sports revealed the rating for the Ducks’ victory over the Buckeyes on Monday, relaying that the Big Ten clash averaged 10.2 million viewers across NBC, Peacock, and NBC Sports Digital, peaking at 13.4 million viewers in the game’s final minutes. (Keep in mind the qualifier - in Prime Time in regular season in the B1G. For example, last season's Michigan - Ohio State was near 19 million but not in Prime Time.) So far, in 2024: 11.99M - 7:30 - ABC - Georgia at Alabama - prime time in SEC 10.2 - 7:30 - NBC - Ohio St at Oregon - prime time in B1G 9.19 - Noon - Fox - Texas at Michigan - not prime time 8.62 - 7:30 - ABC - USC vs LSU - prime time, non-conference 7.92 - 7:30 - ABC - Notre Dame at Tex A&M - prime time, non-conference Quote Check Post

  12. Neuheisel talked about this on Monday morning on Dan Patrick. He said smart defensive guys understand the situation. He said he was coaching UCLA in 2009 and hosting ASU at the Rose Bowl. Same thing happened. UCLA recovered a fumble deep in ASU territory with a bit over a minute left in the first half. UCLA got a big run that went to the ASU 4. The clock was moving with under 10 secs. left. ASU was penalized for 13 men on the field which moved the ball to the 2 yd line, then clock continued. Forced UCLA to take a timeout with 3 secs. left and attempt a field goal instead of a chance for a TD they would have attempted prior to 13 defenders penalty call. He had no doubt that ASU's 13 defenders was intentional.

  17. Maybe shortage of time at the end, but she didn't say much or was asked much. My impression was "blah."
  18. UDub wins time of possession and total yds, but loses the scoreboard...significantly. In all 3 games away from Husky Stadium, the Huskies have outgained their opponents, but scored no more than 19 pts, and lost all 3. (19-24, 18-21, 16-40)
  19. I still have no idea who Kaitlin Olson is. Apparently the crew didn't either as there was almost no "small talk" with her during the time she was at the table. That was an opportunity lost when it could have been someone like Wyndham Clark or Cole Hocker with some knowledge of Oregon athletics.
  20. "... it won't be 19 million but it could be Oegon's most-watched game in the history of Oregon football" I assume you meant in the regular season? There are a few above 19M for the Ducks, but the highest viewership was also vs Ohio State: 34.15M on 1-12-15
  21. --the winner - Ohio St --the score - 38-17 --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates - 0 --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team - 1 --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. - 190
