  1. It was 10-0 Georgia, and Georgia looked good, then, it's 2 straight explosive play pass TD's for Alabama, and it's 14-10.
  2. He could have said, "Stay tuned" and accomplished the same thing, either way we're in limbo.
  3. With about 6 minutes tleft in the 4th quarter, Oklahoma State had it goal to go from the 1foot line, they couldn't get it in, settled for a field goal to make it 21-16, They got the ball back, a PI in the end zone got them 1st and goal from the 2 yard line. On 4th down, the RB ran wide, reached for the end zone, didn't get there. Oklahoma State is probably going to the Alamo Bowl.
  4. Except as you noted at the top of your post, the L's to Utah looked the same, and the first one didn't have the distractions around it that the second one had. Something definitely is up. I hope it's Mario's time as Oregon's Coach.
  5. Twice already that hasn't happened. Somebody mentioned in another thread that Utah's offense was exactly what Mario says he wants, and nobody is labeling Utah as innovative. Mario doesn't even know how to get what he wants, no matter OC's leave.
  6. And that we have been asking here for weeks.
  7. Another Utah Throttling of Oregon Ducks Leaves Questions Only Mario Cristobal Can Answer Oregonlive John Canzano
  8. I agree with your diagnosis, Dr. Kiffin would be the shot in the arm that Oregon needs to fight off the Riley fever that's spreading now.
  9. Before Utah embarrassed Oregon for the second time in 3 weeks, according to reports, Oregon was going to offer Mario another raise, hoping it would keep him, After the game, how does Mullens tell Mario, "Great job, here's a raise!" Does Miami want Mario now? Can Oregon afford to keep him?
  10. Kiffin, the coach from Coastal Carolina, who would be less expensive, are the type of Coach that Oregon needs to get. It would be fun!
  11. We know by now that Mario is not a "Think outside of the box" type guy. After the Ducks beat OH. ST. with AB at quarterback he wasn't going to take him out. As the season went on, and Oregon was still in the CFP, he wasn't going to take out his senior QB, and replace him with a freshman. But, I agree with Darren now, get TT some gametime, for him, the team, or talk about insanity, how many of us expect a different result from this team?
  12. In the last four games Oregon played this season, the winning team scored 38. Oregon 38 WSU 24 Utah 38 Oregon 7 Oregon 38 OSU 29 Utah 38 Oregon 10
  13. Exactly, and Mario's teams never looked like that.
  14. I can't agree more about this! CC, along with Georgia, were the only teams to average 40 points a game on offense and allow 20 on defense. Get this guy now, he's not going to be at Coastal Carolina for long!
  15. It actually can be easy to beat the same team twice.
  16. And Mike Gundy is a man who knows how old he is.
  17. This is the difference between Oh. St., Alabama, and the other teams that have been in the top 5 recruiting for years. The talent assembled on these teams is so deep that, they can beat you with their 3rd string QB,
  18. Jon, I'm with you in all of this. I didn't think the Ducks had a chance against OH. ST. and they win! But they couldn't really put Stony Brook away? Unfortunately, I don't believe Mario's "Coaching" had much to do with either. He is a control freak, but his Mission Statement so far is to work harder, dominate the LOS, neither of which the Ducks do consistently. If Mike Leach were to be named Oregon's next coach, I would abandon the Ducks and play BIngo on Saturday's. But, at Leach had a discernible plan, it doesn't win a lot, but you know what you're going to get. You also know what the teams that do win a lot is going to do. We see it, and I'm sure the players and coaches do too. I don't think Mario's game plan varies week to week. Chip didn't change either, but he had a plan, Fresno State played tougher than Oregon did but wasn't as talented. Utah took all the fight out of Oregon in SLC, Mario wasn't going to scheme the Ducks back, so that one was done. It won't be any different against the Utes this time either. The Ducks are still more talented than the Utes are, but can AB hit the passes this week. It wouldn't break my heart if Mario left, but unless he picks up another Game Manager in the Portal, what the offense will look like with Thompson or Butterfield at QB.
  19. Nailed it! And will Mario's insistence on dictating the offense prevent innovative OC's from wanting the job?
