  1. Oregon has had great TE's. Back to Russ Francis, Jeff Thomason. Josh Wilcox., Ed Dickson, David Paulson, Colt Lyerla, so much talent, Pharoah Brown, terrible injury. Hope that Coach Mehringer, Lanning & Dillingham can get back to using the TE as more than a check down option.
  2. Let's look at this. Who's going to get a passing grade first, Washington or Oregon State? Washington is in shambles, Oregon State is ecstatic about their future. I have OSU finishing above UW next season. Cal is Cal, Stanford is in the midst of a slump, and WSU can maybe win an Apple Cup once in a while. Are the 2 Oregon schools ready to Own the North?
  3. Very true, a Game Manager isn't going to beat Alabama. But Kirby seems set with Stetson so the D is going to have to keep Alabama to 24 points? It's hard to see how -3 Georgia is happening.
  4. Oklahoma is dropping out for a while, so that leaves a space at the table. Clemson isn't a shoe in next season. Oregon and USC need to be in contention the whole season and if not in the CFP every year, win their NY6 Bowl.
  5. Darren, I agree with your 3 steps, Clemson was it from the ACC, and Oklahoma carried the Big 12. To speed this along for Oregon and USC, GK seems open to interior design renovations such as an 8 game schedule and doing away with divisions.
  6. Offense Defense Scoring Offense-Alabama Scoring Defense-Georgia Quarterback- Alabama Passing Defense-Georgia Receivers-Alabama Rushing Defense-Georgia Running Backs-Georgia Turnovers-Alabama Tackles For Loss- Alabama
  7. And this is where we are. I can see the Ducks landing in the middle of these two prognosication's. For now, with all the changes that Oregon will be dealing with, contending for the CFP next season isn't where I had them. For what it's worth I do have them winning the North, even it comes down to beating the Beavers in Corvallis.
  8. Let's go Bulldogs!! Georgia was No.1 all season until Alabama smacked 'em in the SEC Championship Game. But they took apart a hungry Michigan team while Alabama toyed with Cincy, I think Georgia wanted Alabama, and now they have the chance to get the Natty, and send the new Oregon coach off in style.
  9. That is it of course. For all the good vibes coming out OSU, I don't see how they can sustain a Playoff contending level consistently. They're doing great with the portal, but I don't see them breaking through to a top 25 even recruiting ranking, which would put them on the very edge of what's needed.
  10. It is the best advertising, as Chris and Herby talk about the Georgia defense, ""And you know that DC Lanning is the Coach at Oregon now" "And the first game next season is Oregon and Georgia". Lanning met with Cyrus Moss last week, who will announce his decision at the All American Game this weekend.
  11. Ducks go after their second conference win, get the record even at 2-2 with a win over the Buffs
  12. Cool, I've appreciated Soares' game as well, and Bittle has had great plays at both ends of the court every game. With each game, he and the other players are forming that cohesion that Altman's teams count on,
  13. A new Coach, a new OC, a new DC, a new QB? Yeah, but according to Brad Sheppard Bleacher Report, the Ducks are a team to watch. Ranking the Top 10 Contenders for the CFB Playoffs in 2022
  14. It isn't just recently that the Bowl Games have lost their shine. Back in 2013, DeAnthony Thomas and Josh Huff were less than thrilled about playing in the Rose Bowl Analysis: Expanded CFP Gives More Players Reward Worth Risk Ralph D. Russo AP News
  15. Coach Lanning, to borrow a term, lose the Prevent Offense. If there's still time on the clock, more points can be scored. Pro style, spread, under center, shotgun, points can be had. A great, dominating defense, in concert with an offense that never stops is what wins championships. The WR's showed what they can do in the 2nd half against Oklahoma, the RB's are ready as well, and there's a room full of QB's set to compete for the starter role. All that behind an OL that is primed. By now you've heard how loud Autzen can be, but you won't fully appreciate it until you're on the sideline while it's happening. And it will if you open it up.
  16. The trouble is that the SEC knows how to work the system. Alabama is so much better than anybody else it's ridiculous. But, LSU, Florida, Auburn have won championships recently enough, and A;abama fell asleep and A & M beat them this season, Not only do they have the 8 game schedule, they also make sure that Alabama and Auburn always play, and Georgia & Florida, But the top teams don't play each other all the time, so the top 5 or 6 teams will be highly ranked all season. So, I don't know if it's a mirage so much as a well constructed plan to monopolize the sport.
