  1. I certainly didn't see the game at Arizona coming,, after their blowout of Cal, 100-41, the Ducks only tallied 41 against the Wildcats. The 57 they held the Wildcats to, would usually mean a win. So. even from their worst game in recent memory, some positives can be found, the defense was still good. It also prompted Coach Graves to tighten up the rotation, you can read about that more here. Going into the season, Stanford, UCLA and Arizona would all be picked to finish above the Ducks because of their talent and experience. WSU, with only 1 loss so far, is a big surprise, but only shows even more how good Women's basketball is in the Pac-12
  2. With Justin at quarterback, the new coach is walking in to a great situation. Who do you think it should be?
  3. Two season's ago, Oregon had the most experienced OL in the country. Last season it was brand new. How did they do? What about next season?
  4. It sure looks like everybody is doing a great job with their proofreading, and it's really appreciated. Of course there will be slipups, .
  5. “I think the time has come for me to really tighten the rotation," he suggested. "And say ‘this is what we’re going with and if you’re not in the rotation, work harder and find a way to contribute’'.
  6. Until he's eliminated, I'm leaning towards Cristobal and Lupoi reuniting, the "discipline" that Woody would bring from Army is intriguing.
  7. It has always baffled me. It really seems, with any work at all a player should be at 70% on free throws. Rick Barry finished his NBA career with a 90% average. In part he believes because he found that shooting them underhanded gave him more control, and he was able to repeat the motion easier, so much he could do it with his eyes closed.
  8. “In a normal year, bracketing is done with consideration given to keeping as many teams as close to their campus as possible, reducing team travel and providing as many fans as possible an opportunity to watch their favorite teams participate in The Big Dance. But this year only, with the entire tournament being played in Indiana, the committee believes this different approach is optimal.” The change is just the reorganization of the brackets necessitated by all the games being played in Indiana.
  9. It seems for the first time this season really, we saw what can happen to a team so young and still trying to get its footing. Its also the case that no other team in the conference feels sorry for the Ducks. I can't remember what the time frame it was, but Arizona hadn't beaten Oregon in a long time.
  10. Thanks a lot for posting that, ICamel. It will be great to get the new era of Oregon baseball, under Coach Wasikowskii, started.
  11. Great insights, Hayward Duck. Tom Brady was underused at Michigan, and wouldn't have gotten his chance at New England, but for former WSU Cougar, Drew Bledsoe being injured.
  12. No upset would be bigger than the Browns, fresh off their blowout of the Steelers in their first playoff game since 2002, beating the defending Super Bowl champion, Kansas City Chiefs. I doubt the Browns defense can slow the Chiefs offense down enough for that to happen, though. It will be a battle of Cal Bears when Jared Goff of the Rams go into Green Bay to play Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.
  13. I have been anxiously waiting for softball to return since it stopped so abruptly last season. Some of my favorite Ducks played at, "The Jane" and I'm sure that I'll have some more coming from this team.
  14. We really only get to see linemen after their called for a penalty, so we won't be able to watch him anyway
  15. The Rams go from sunny LA to the, "frozen tundra" of Green Bay to take on the Packers.
  16. You're very right, Joshua. The Ducks need a quarterback playing at his highest level if it wants to achieve its goals. Winning the Pac-12 for a third year in a row is definitely possible, if not probable. But you're right again when you say that won't be enough to keep the 4's and 5's coming. A quarterback battle is always interesting, and this one for the Ducks is no exception. Shough had an up and down season that definitely ended on the downside, what does he bring to the table in the Spring? Is Brown still here? Ashford & Butterfield have chances to impress, as does heralded Freshman, Thompson, and all of the quarterbacks will have an outstanding WR corps to throw to.
