I don't think osu2 took Oregon seriously the first time because they saw Oregon as that school from the Pac-12. They had flashy uniforms, and some said that Autzen could get loud. Osu2 believed that their talent level advantage was enough to come in and get the win. My opinion of course.

Tez will always be one of my favorite Ducks, but I think he's flying off course with this. Osu2 definitely out schemed OBD in the Rose Bowl, but I think Skill v Skill osu2 comes out ahead as well. The Buckeyes didn't take the Ducks seriously at all in first game and almost won anyway.

2025-2026 College Football: Best Returning QBs?
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
ASU even without Skat is my 2nd favorite team! From the mountain tops I will shout that transfer QB Moore will have more success at the O than will Beck at the U. I believe that Franklin/PSU will go 0-2 vs, the O's. Sark with Manning and that schedule! Will either DeBoer or Kelly beat out Kirby with Georgia's gauntlet? -
The Teams, Coaches, and Players Who Have the Most to Prove Next Season
30Duck replied to Smith72's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Great article. My first thought for coach, team, QB, was Alabama. DeBoer is coaching for is job in 2025, and just making the CFP might not be enough, them if DeBoer is out, what coach would want to jump in to that mess? Oregon, as noted, left the post season abruptly the last two seasons. 2025, with a new QB, new lines, new WR's, new RB's, new secondary, new kicker is not th season when Oregon HAS to win the Natty. USC? I don't see the urgency, with Riley, USC is what it is. He's brought in some players, particularly on defense, but talent isn't the issue at USC. Riley's tenure should be tenuous, but it hasn't been yet. Franklin might be in some trouble, after losing to osu2 during the season, and to Oregon in the B1G CCG, the path to the Natty was cleared for Penn State, and they stumbled and fell. If Penn State's passion for football is higher than it is at UCLA, or Cal, Franklin is out if the Lions don't roar in 2025. Last year, "Google, me, I win" Cignetti was the story, except for Finebaum, nobody else noticed or cared, that the: "emerging superpower" was racking up the wins with a schedule produced by Sara Lee. We can't tell now, but the forecast says that the schedule in 2025 isn't going to be a gauntlet. Now that his Heisman winner & QB kid are gone, what does Prime do in 2025? Cristobal a QB Whisperer now? No Skattebo at ASU? What does Dilly do for an encore? -
Oregon Football: Evan Stewart’s Role in 2025
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
50/50 says a receiver is just as likely to not make the catch. Give me a 60/40 receiver, which I think Stewart can be and I'll get excited. -
I saw this yesterday with the title, "Oregon Could Regress in 2025" Not exactly Broadway Joe's guarantee that the Jets would win Super Bowl lll. New QB, new OL & DL's, new secondary, new WR's, new RB's. But, as far as I know, Oregon's going to play in 2025.

Absolutely. The Conference Tournaments work in Basketball because there are so many teams, and rarely undefeated even in conference play, The regular season champion will get in, the CT champ gets in, but not necessarily a high seed, (see how that works, CFP formatters.)
-
Well, played. But I agree with Kamikaze Kid's trend trajectory. From now on, 9-3 is the floor, there will no longer be games that winning isn't expected, early line has OBD favored at Happy Valley, The Lines, offense and defense, control everything. How good, great they are, determines how every other position functions; great D Line can dictate a game, Nick Fairley.

Two QB's couldn't be more different than Cam Ward and Carson Beck. Will Beck get Miami to the CFP? Mario Cristobal calls Carson Beck 'perfect fit' for Miami while revealing promising injury update WWW.SPORTINGNEWS.COM Carson Beck is looking to be a nice replacement for Cam Ward in 2025.

Could not agree more. It's great if some other teams want to play marquee non-con games, that we can watch & enjoy. A top-10 team gains 0 by beating another top-10 during the regular season. Wisconsin is said to have the hardest B1G schedule and Alabama in non-con? Wisconsin won't be a top-10, Alabama might not be either and both will have tough enough conference schedules.

EXACTLY what I'm thinking!

Oregon is a 5 seed in the South region in ESPN's latest Bracketology, they'd face 12 Drake, then a possible match-up with 4 Arizona.
-
Bittle, Evans I can see. Shelstad? I'm not sure. He's put up some great clutch shots, but for a lot of the games, he's barely involved in the offense, which is a big part of the problem, since he is the point guard, he's almost exclusively a 3 point shooter, few midrange, even fewer drives to the basket and is below average defensively.

Thank you, sports fan, Washington is solidly in last place, but the last game of the season at the place Pritchard owned, is scary. I was just pondering; we do that here. 20-8 for OBD is just about right. They've won close ones, lost close ones. They shouldn't have wins over Alabama & A & M, but maybe those are balanced out by the L's to Minnesota & Nebraska. except games like those are everywhere in the B1G. I really don't know how this team has 20 wins. They can't shoot, can't rebound, don't move the ball, defense in spurts, and that creates turnovers, doesn't really clamp down. Shelstad has big shots, but if his energy level was above 6 for most of the game they might not be necessary. Bamba, Angel, no need to elaborate, Bittle is the only Duck who has shown up for 40 minutes consistently. Would any of the Ducks rotation players take a place away on any of the other top 10 B1G teams?

Couple of grand slams is good, holding them to 2 is even better!

We know about the Ducks, the 2nd most Quad1 wins in the country, but it's the losses, to Minnesota and Nebraska that just don't make any sense. Or do they? Indiana, sitting in 10th place, just beat 6th place, Purdue, 73-58. After Illinois stomped the Ducks, 109-77, it looked like the Final Four for the Fightin' ,Illinini since then, they've gone 8-9 and last night, on a neutral court, lost to Duke, 110-67. Maryland beat osu2,83-59, nobody could believe it. A game before Oregon beat the Terps, they lost to last place Washington. Maryland is in 3rd place now, 11-5, 21-6 overall. Last night, 10th place Indiana beat 6th place Purdue, 75-58. Little reason to believe that the last 3 or 4 games teams have are going to make any more sense, and the Tournament will definitely be crazy. Remember that team that went on a crazy run and won the last Pac-12 Tournament?

Oregon Wins INSANE Second Game: 19-12!

Lose 12-11, win 1-0, then win 19-12, analytics won't work here! -
AMAZING! Duck Beat No. 11 Wisconsin in OT, 77-73
30Duck replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
His D on Tonje was HUGE. 6 points in the 2nd half. All season, Bamba's been the best defensive player on the team, enough so, that even with his shooting y=trouble, he couldn't be kept off the court. Except for his shooting, he's good at everything else, definitely the most physical player. His shooting has improved during the winning streak, MacLean pointed out that a shooter has to be free, just let it go. Bamba may have been the opposite but is getting more confident just in time.
