So Many Doubters...Lanning Wins a B1G One!
NYDuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
My goodness what a sorry state of affairs over there in LA. LOL. But hey.... at least they are coming to terms with it!!! -
After staring at the screen watching OBD storm the field and releasing a few explicit words, he looked at me with a frown and said "We'll see you again". Careful what you wish for you Bucks!!!!!!
-
My best bud is a tOSU die hard. His uncle played for the Bucks in the 90's. All I heard from him last week: "We're going to kill you guys". I just sat there and smirked. My response: "Talk to me Saturday night at around 11 PM EST". Oh how the turn tables..... Go Ducks!

Oregon Ducks Football: Gabriel’s Biggest Strength
NYDuck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
DG looked unflappable out there. The confidence needed to make that throw to Evan in the corner says it all. You can tell that he has seen it all and there really isn't much that will throw him off his game. I've come to accept the fact that after watching him play for 5 years, this is what he does. He is a ball player. He has the edge to him needed to pull out these victories even when adversity strikes. Not only was he tactical with his deep balls (both deep balls to Tez and Evan), his legs make him even more dangerous. I knew he had wheels, but he is extremely shifty and has a good lateral burst. If DG8 continues to improve on this performance, which I have every reason to believe he will, my golly do we have something on our hands. Major kudos to our WR room for creating separation against the likes of Downs and Burke. -
So Many Doubters...Lanning Wins a B1G One!
NYDuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ditto! What an absolute gem. That was truly a surreal experience. So happy for everyone who got to be at Autzen and for those guys in that locker rooom. The process is paying off. Seeing the raw emotions on Dan's face made me want to run through my tv. This team has something special and I am glad we all get to witness it. Enjoy this one and onto Purdue. Go Ducks and beat those Boilermakers!!!!!! We ride baby. -

New CFB Playoff REMOVES the Pressure Off This Game?
NYDuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This is the reason why we joined the B1G. The pressure is welcome. This is a statement game and I love the position we are in to cease this opportunity and show the country what our OBD's are truly made of. Competitors LIVE for opportunities like this one in front of us. "PRESSURE CREATES DIAMONDS". We want the best players in the country to come play in Eugene in situations like the one we will have on Saturday. This is BIG BOY STUFF. If we are what we think we are, the guys in that locker room will step up to the occasion and put the country on notice. GO DUCKS!!!!!!! Get me to Saturday already. -

Oregon Still Undefeated, So Why Are Some Ducks Fans Unhappy?
NYDuck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I think it's because all offseason, the talking heads were crowning us as the eventual national champions. When the hype is there, fans tend to buy in and naturally so. When the product doesn't immediately match what was being said all offseason, there will be frustrations. Especially, when those performances come consecutively. I also think there's a lot of outside noise on X etc. and that the notion of "Oregon being the offseason champs" may have caused some anger, and our play initially did not back up what we believed to be a great team. We were eager to prove all these people wrong. Winning, and winning some more, will fix this anger. -
Miami choking that one away would have been massive alongside the Ole Miss L. The main thing is still the main thing.... "Just win baby win". The rest of it will take care of itself. Beat the heck out of Sparty and then a showdown with those Buckeyes. Keep it rolling OBD!!!!!

Elite Recruiting Mountain Too High for Ducks’ Lanning?
NYDuck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Great topic. as said in almost every other reply, location is what matters. However, it plays less of a role with our move to the B1G. As for competing with the big boys ie. Bama, UGA, Texas, tOSU...... there's only one thing that will propel us to this status and put us over the top. That is A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. What would we not have if we added this to our already prestigious and glamorous resume? I can't think of anything (besides maybe being far from players' families)? National championships are the name of the game. Sure, these guys make a lot of dough now, but a ring on our finger will make us an unstoppable force on the recruiting trail. The true blue chippers want to compete at the highest level, on the biggest stages in this sport. Go Ducks!!! I believe this is the year. -
Wow. I agree with every ranking still thinking about that SJSU Wazzu game! What a barn burner.

Cam Ward Has Turned Miami Into a Contender...
NYDuck replied to Just Ducky's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Nope... I feel the same way. I fear Mario will end up Mario'ing eventually. Ha! -
I fear he is the last thing we need...

Just a few updates here that I saw last night. A Reb's running back is also utilizing his redshirt... and he claims it was not due to NIL. Also, the DL on USC Bear Alexander is doing the same.... granted he bailed on UGA and is already bailing on Lincoln Riley & Co. What a time to be alive.... jeez. Madness will ensue!
-
Absolutely agree. The optics are horrible. At the end of the day... he is QUITTING one way or the other. However, just saw the On3 report stating he only received $3,000 out of an expected MINIMUM of $100,000.... this changes some things. Obviously we don't know the validity of this report. Very, VERY sticky situation and this will just be the first domino to fall and create a very scary precedent.

I'm sure you've all seen the news about the UNLV starting QB who is utilizing a redshirt after a 3-0 start with Rebels after UNLV allegedly did not hold up their end of the bargain financially. However, a lot of the rhetoric on X and other platforms is shedding an extremely negative light on him. It certainly is an intriguing headline and I am 1000% certain this will not be the last time we see this happen. Interestingly enough, I went to college with him. I am sure more will come out of the story, but just wanted some people's thoughts on this situation. Welcome to the new world, OBD'ers. Buckle up!

Do You Agree? What IS the Upside to This Offense?
NYDuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Honestly... the only things that have worried me this season have been the OL and the conservative/bland play calling. We know what Dillon is, James/Whitt were going to find the holes, and our WR's are SUPREMELY talented. Ferg, Herbert, Sadiq are awesome. We just looked in a state of disarray, it was never a question of the talent or potential that this offense had. I believe this offense is ready to explode the next two games. As they continue to gel and learn each other's tendencies, the chunk plays will begin to stack up more and more... I am sure of it. Don't want to look past our next opponents but we will have to be clicking on all cylinders and play a disciplined yet explosive offense game against the Buckeyes. With all this being said, our offensive upside is truly outstanding. -
Wowsa. UCLA Has FOUR Starters Who Transferred from Oregon?

I am also very very curious about Jurrion.... -
We finally saw some of the potential that we knew this team had. I'm not worried about the narrative that it wasn't the strongest Beavs team. As we have been saying, we cannot afford to play down to ANYONE. We need to take care of business! Dillon looked good. Jordan, Tez, Traeshon, T Ferg. And don't forget about Bryce Boettcher. Heck of performances. O line looked good (phew). Stein called a good game. Defense came to play. Overall, very happy with our performance on both sides. I know we were all waiting for a performance like that. Cheers from all the way over in Manhattan, NY and as always go Ducks!!!

On Saturday: What Do YOU Want to See From Oregon?
NYDuck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I'd like to see at the very least play a complete, clean game on both sides of the ball. Progress each week. What would I love to see? Pure assertion of dominance. Go Ducks!
