  1. I will enjoy wiping up my morning joe!
  2. Git the irons on the fire, cause this thing's gonna leave a mark!
  3. Back in 1978, when fuskies were a little closer to relevant, musical theater had a hit that was my mind's first chuckle at the time UT A&M started throwing mounds of cash in the NIL bucket, quickly followed by Tennessee and whoever else thinks it's a great idea... "Best Little Whorehouse In Texas". The title song even states, "Texas has a WHOREHOUSE in it!" Try as they may, that is not a corner I believe U Duh fans, for all their prowess, will ever be able to paint Oregon in to. Seems to me, they are accusing the Ducks of following a path the fuskies have been, historically (or should I say, hysterically?), far more familiar with.
  4. As my step-father (a pre-WWII starter on D for the StumpGrinders) used to say in response to fuskie angst, "Cry.My.Hand.Full!
  5. Who knows? JTT could hit the portal? FishDuck? More like CATCH Duck, in this case! Funny. I told my grandson. When I heard Conerly was on the Oregon campus last weekend, that I had a sneaky suspicion the Ducks had just scored a win over Riley's USC. QUACKS ME UP!
  6. There's a reason they call it 'fishing', instead of 'cat-ching'!
  7. Would LOVE to see the new staff's approach in practice and the training room result in a HEALTHIER football season, for all OBDs!
  8. DOH! My wife glanced at the screen as she walked by and asked, "What's a porn pom?" Yikes!
  9. I loved watching Devon play with fire, but DAT in pads was a level we may never see repeated (Hope I'm wrong!). The memory of DAT making a defender's heads spin trying to track him on the way to the end zone is something I will be seeing in my mind for a long time!
  10. The hard part right now is that with both Belloti and Chip, we had seen them be an integral part of the success machine at Oregon, so there wasn't as much 'anxiety' over what to expect, especially given the limited turnover in the staff at those critical junctions. Heck, Belloti was a stroll down the hallway if Chip had wanted to pick his brains. With Lanning, it really is a whole, new, ball game.
  11. Is that a new slogan? "You did the Work, NOW Let's Have Some Fun!"
  12. McCallan, Rip Van Winkle, or something more down to earth, like Glenlivet or Glenfidditch?
  13. Don't miss the old style pads, but these have a certain cache, not the least of which is that many of the teams that sported the iconic Duck/Packers look had stiff defenses, even while lacking the ability to score on a regular enough basis to win consistently. I also liked the diamond plated in Green/yellow (PLEASE, no GRELLOW !!!), and wings has been a good variant.
  14. Remember when a 19 win season would have thrilled nearly any Duck fan? Altman's tenure has spoiled all of us, to a certain degree. Heck, thanks to the limited entries available to the Madness, Hater's Kamakaze Kids couldn't even sniff an invitation, and ended up in the NIT 3 years running. Now, many Duck fans consider it an epic failure! "My, How the Worm Has Turned!"
  15. I once got a new job, while my young wife was employed at the US Bank branch on the Oregon Campus. It was rush week, so there were TONS of new enrollees in making deposits, opening new accounts, and other fun stuff. I walked in and waited until I could get face to face with her to announce the news. Without considering the potential consequences, I proudly announced the job title... Pretty much everyone around me started squealing and backing away! When you think about it, "I'm a HOLD-UP MAN", probably wasn't the best choice of words! When this pandemic first began, my bank insisted that as we entered the building, customers needed to stop, drop the mask, and face the camera, then replace the face covering before proceeding. Let's just say the words, "Boone's Farm" will not have anything to do with my beverage of choice this evening!
  16. Take em all... Green is Beautiful. Time to turn the Pack GREEN with the Duck bug, again!
  17. Jayden Wayne, because I love the keen ofDawgs crying in the wilderness of despair..
  18. Checking his 247 page it shows junior as 5'9"/170, in class of '23... Methinks dad was just a bit more, er, robust.
  19. Prayers for a speedy recovery, and better health moving forward.
  20. How simple do the rules need to be? I was in charge of training a a group of men to operate large, precision equipment for grinding steel (We manufactured saws, in this case, band saws up to 60' long, and 16" wide.). A huge part of that is SAFETY PROCEDURES... duh. Some of those involve proper use of the proper tools, and good maintenance practices... Again, duh. You would probably be shocked how many potentially crippling injuries I witnessed over a 20+ year career that involved little things like not replacing a screw with a worn Allen head, or wearing safety glasses around the grinding wheel... Or even reporting what should have been a minor bit of grit in an eye (we had trained first aid staff, as well as an eye wash station in the immediate area). In that particular case, the guy was in a hurry to leave for Thanksgiving weekend, and returned to work, the following Monday with both eyes swollen shut with infection, and argued when I insisted he go to the ER. The doctor told me it was bad enough the employee would have lost vision in both eyes, permanently, in a very brief time. To top it off, when the injured party filled out his incident report, and wassubsequently interviewed by OSHA, his explanation was Thai failed to properly train him, and he didn't notice the multiple warning signs in the area. STICK TO YOUR GUNS, Charles!
  21. U Duh is a crew/rowing school... They tried Curling, but the ice was so thin, they kept losing their rocks. The shells are equipped with low drag coefficient sonar (Most likely snagged during a breakin at the OSU engineering complex) which allows the search for the lost equipment to continue to this day.
