  1. I appreciate that one of the main things he refers to is continuing to help the Ducks build the Lanning culture! Somebody is making an impact in the lives of the Men of Oregon!
  2. Ok... It IS so. And rather entertaining at times.
  3. We played Mud Football at my future best man's house... If the nearby river rose, there would be a couple inches of water where his mom's soon to be missing front lawn struggled to exist. They had about a fifty yard run end to end, with the housed at one goal, and a highway overpass on the other. Half o the guys would show up in cleats, and one kid always had to wear a cheap, lightly padded helmet. The only injury in 6 years of games involved that dadgum helmet. I ran up to field a short punt, and this kid slipped and fell right in front of me. I tried to jump over him, and it would have worked... If he'd stayed down. Nope. Couldn't do it... He stood up in perfect alignment with my right knee, resulting in a crushed helmet, a massive bruise on my quad, and the ban of all future football games on that yard in perpetuity. His mama took great umbrage with the hospital bill for his 3 day stay in a concussion protocol. Those were the good old days! AmIRight?!?!?
  4. I snorted when I saw fakes and deep balls, especially in light of past failings. My grandson said I sounded like a rerun of Beavis and Butthead... I sincerely applaud the fact that Oregon appears to have landed not one but two consecutive OC's who delight in controlling the LOS and freeing the QB to use, confuse, and abuse opposing DCs at will!
  5. Would be sweet to have a Quack Town Smack Down rep around here, wood (in honor of fleeting Beavitz Dominatrix) it not?
  6. DITTO, FD!
  7. It's been fun when Oregon has had a single, unstoppable monster DE, but it was also obvious that relying on a solitary player leads to fatigue, injury, and other performance limiting issues. Having multiple monsters (RELEASE THE QUACKENs) could be a terror on the field of play.
  8. I remember the Christmas we got ours. We played that thing non-stop til the (not so) wee hours of the morning. One would have thought my brothers were watching the super 🏈!
  9. Prosperous Angles and Fleece On Yer Dad! Wait... What?!?
  10. If the coaches want him, I guess I will play wait and see.Oh, WIAT! Has Kal filled their needs at QB???
  11. "LIT", might be more apropo...
  12. It's funny how any comments one sees concerning OREGON's recruiting success seems to circle around suspicions of abuse. I believe OBD's currently have one of the hardest working 💪 recruiting staffs in America... Period, Exclamation Point.
  13. His Mom has posted susequent statements about Bowen's commitment. Not that it cleared anything up, but it sounds like he has been wavering most of the last week and made his decision on the spot.
  14. How passionate about D is Mr. Lanning? I think this guy gets it!
  15. Sometimes you suck lemons, sometimes it's a sweet navel orange... It's all relative!
  16. I have more important things to get indigestion over...
  17. Ewwwe! Mower DWAMA, Pwease! Oh,WAIT! This just in! Dante Moore to take surprise visit to UW!!! 🤪 Too early? 🤑
  18. I always wondered what a train wreck a Bill Walton interview of the Pirate would have looked like... RIP. coach! I can imagine Keith Jackson peeking out the Pearly Gaes and spying Leach headed in...
  19. The GRIFT that keeps on giving...
  20. Deion has always been in the "look at ME" class, IMO. Given his abilities, it shouldn't have been surprising in his youth, but most of us choose to grow beyond that at some point. Not sure Neon will ever arrive at that juncture.
  21. My son was a very good soccer player as a youth. His hs school coach once told me that he loved coaching the kid but it wasn't his innate ability that got the coaches attention. He told me that the thing my boy did better than nearly every other player this coach had ever had was LISTEN, and APPLY the information he was given, in the moment, i.e.: The ability to process and use new information, correctly and willingly. Not every kid, at any level, has that.
  22. Fair enough, Charles. You've put enough blood, sweat, and tears (figuratively, and literally), for all of us to show some respect and appreciation. Hopefully, the new system will help alleviate some of the stress we so generously contribute to your daily walk! BTW, this is the ONLY Duck forum I actively participate in, and has been for well over a year. I've personally witnessed some of the abuse you have been subjected to elsewhere in the past, and found it unwarranted for any reason. This is your house, built with your own hands. You deserve to enjoy the fruits of your labors. Take care, my friend!
