I'm partial to the ones that occur at the beginning of games when the energy can hardly be contained:

    - Penn State White Out pregame

    - VT playing Metallica pregame

    - ** I thought Wisconsin's "Jump Around" was pregame, but apparently it's similar to Oregon's between 3rd / 4th quarters, but I still like the song choice better than "Shout".

I think the risk in having the tradition mid-game is that the energy level could be dependent on how well the game is going.

For example, from my perspective watching TV, it didn't look like there was much enthusiasm for "Shout" in the Idaho game . . . too many people in shock, LOL.

On the other hand, maybe it could be the spark to lead a comeback.

I'd like to see 10 Duck motorcycles revving as loud as possible come out of the tunnel with something from AC/DC blaring . . . Back in Black? Thunderstruck? Make the motorcycle noise and music deafening.

If AC/DC is the choice, then Hells Bells seems like a good choice?

Well, I'm in Eugene, and with my biorhythms, I'm apt to be curled up in the Barcalounger, and, if not snoring, definitely snoozing by the start of the second half!

I also am rooting for the Ducks to not just win, but to be way ahead by half-time.

I share your biorhythms, Annie.  I usually record these games and get up Sunday morning to watch before the NFL games start.  It has the added advantage that in the event we lose (last year, UW) I can delay the torture indefinitely.

I think this might be a solid point.

The sun was bad during most of the game due to the 4:30 start. I'd be curious if there was any correlation between missed reads and when they were playing into the sun. In the first three examples you can tell by the shadows that he's staring at the sun. The fourth was later in the game with the sun likely not a factor.

I am not even a "singer in a rock-n-roll band" so take my thoughts with a ton of salt.....but, sitting at home, that sun angle looked brutal.  A couple of close-ups of DG during the quarter the Ducks were driving to the west, showed him squinting and blocking the sun with his extended hand between plays.

  4. I was gutted when Pre died.  Today feels the same.  Though Bill's record-setting days were over, unlike Pre's, he was living his best life as an elder statesman and broadcaster. My two childhood heroes gone. I ran track and played basketball because of those two athletes.

Bill turned me into a Deadhead too.

    It all rolls into one.....

  5. tOSU has a loaded roster, too....though I am much less familiar with the individual players they have.    As for OBD, DL and Safety were my concerns coming into this Spring.  I believe Charles and others expressed the same assessment.  Not only did the Danimal go out and fill those gaps, he did so with arguably the best options available.

Ice water in his veins, stone cold assassin.....like Payton Pritchard icing the Dawgs in Hec Ed with a dagger 3 at the OT buzzer.

Did Boneyard go out of business?

The co-founders of Boneyard, sold to Gary Fish, founder of Deschutes Brewing.  Tony Lawrence conceived of Boneyard after working with Gary at Deschutes for years and learning brewing from Oregon craft beer legend John Harris, who founded Ecliptic Brewing, which just sold to Ninkasi.

Tony and co. still have the original Boneyard brewery where they do seasonal and single batch brews, while Deschutes handles the bulk brewing for Boneyard that goes into cans for distribution.
