Good information coach.
"Mr. March", or as most of you know him, Coach Altman seems to come around during the month of March. I would not start worrying about "The Boys" until after the start of that Month.

It will be really interesting to see what DeRuyter can do with Oregon's talent level.

What a fun time to be a Duck. Looking forward to the QB battle. I've had enough of the old and hope we can move on to the "next generation"

And we are not done!
The question is "is USC done ??" And where will we be Nationally ??
With all these great recruiting classes year after year now we've got to start seeing some good results soon. Like a National title run.

I am confident that once Softball can get going again, Coach Lombardi will take the team higher than White's teams got.
I agree, I think White's teams always seemed to reach a plateau that he could never get them over.

When do we get our trophy and rings?
Got to win the games first. (All of them) Then comes the trophy and rings. (Hope we are both talking about the National Title.)

Interesting details of the DeRuyter defense coach. Definitely more complicated then I ever thought. Lots of variations and flexibility here.
It truly is "fun to learn about our beloved Ducks".

It only matters in March.

Your post is both very funny, and yet profound....if you can't beat 'em, then hire 'em!
Or if your Alabama, hire everyone and sort it out later.

Huge baseball fan here. In fact it's my favorite sport. I played a couple years at Lane Community College before being cut by the Beavers after transferring up to Corvallis.
Ducks baseball has been really inconsistent over the past several years. They were looking good early on in their first few years but they have never been able to put together a solid offensive effort for a sustained period of time.
Their pitching has often been pretty decent though. Yovan offers a good dose of both. He is one of the best players the Ducks have put forward since their return to the diamond.
Question is whether there are other pitchers who can lock down opposing teams. I was high on Peyton Fuller coming out of high school, maybe that is because he was my neighbor in Ashland, but he is a big kid with a pretty strong arm. I am hoping he steps up big time this coming season.
I am always up for talking baseball. I look forward to more articles in the future.
C.J. feel free to start a baseball topic or two in the forum. We'd love to here more baseball from you.

Coach Graves:
"I think it did her some good to take the weekend off and she probably shouldn't have played her on Friday, but we did, because she hadn't practiced all week. We just made that decision today going because it wasn't worth it and we need to get her healthy."
Coach Graves should know better then to play an injured player. Bad decision. He doesn't make many but he did on this.

Heck yeah! Get 'er done! I'm ready to be excited about a Duck RB again.
Right we need someone to come in and take control and show how it's done.

The Oregonian just stated that Byron Cardwell committed to Oregon, and likely clinches Pac-12 Conference recruiting title.
Per The Oregonian:
For more than a year it has been clear the Oregon Ducks football program was poised to sign a historic 2021 recruiting class. The interest from high-level prospects was apparent early, and the West Coast featured enough talent to ensure a top-10 finish if Mario Cristobal and his coaching staff could capitalize. In December that mission was largely realized, as Oregon signed 21-of-21 verbal commitments to secure the top recruiting class in program history, a collection of talent rated No. 6 nationally.

You can't win a title without good D, period.

I don't have any stats but to me I don't think our QB ran the ball very much last year.

Hayward has been around the Pac-12 for a long time now, this will be his 5th Pac-12 school.
Good Luck.

And people wonder why there is so much cynicism towards the NCAA and their insistence this is all amateur athletics.
With the money the NCAA makes off of college sports, I think they know it's not "amateur athletics" as you and I would understand it. However it's amateur athletics as they would like to understand it.

Very interesting article Joshua, thanks.
You mentioned Byron Cardwell has a jump step that he uses during his running to help get around the defense, this reminds me of Dat in years gone. Dat had that same jump step and was so exciting to watch. I hope Byron, if he choses Oregon, can give us that same excitement and of course the points.

IMO Brown has a good chance to play again, however it would be in tandem as last season. Brown is not going to improve any more than he is now because he's had many years of field play and this is as far as he has advanced during that time. Nothing is going happen to all of a sudden make him the shining star in the barn.

Some coaches do have the ability to lift players ability's and some don't. Utah does have that ability however USC, right now does not. I would like to see more of that ability here at Oregon and am hoping Joe Moorhead and our new defensive coach can bring that about. MC by himself does not seem to be really great at it.
