  1. I seriously doubt a high value talent hasn't given good thought to where and why he wants to go and play, before now. If in fact he hasn't, I would question his ability to think things through properly, regardless of who has his ear.

I can't imagine a high talent like him hasn't been thinking about it for a couple of years now. Maybe he's working on getting his McDonald's bag "supper sized".

  2. I'm not sure we have seen the best that the Joe Moorhead offense has to offer. The first year installed doesn't bring it all out and on display.

Whoever takes the reins this season should have a better team and a better playbook to work with. Neither of the two QB's we've seen last season will be able to take us to the playoffs and will just be one year wonders at best. What we need is a longer term QB that can grow over several years at the job and take us to the National Title game.

The Ducks are not going get to the "Big Game" using short term thinking, It's time to have a long term strategy.

    According to GoDucks.com --

    As A Senior (2019)
Saw time in four games … Played a total of 26 snaps at left tackle and right tackle … Had three knockdowns.

    As A Junior (2018)
Played in five games … All 43 snaps played came at left tackle.

    As A Sophomore (2017)
Did not see any game action.

At The College of San Mateo (2015-16)
Ranked the No. 1 junior college offensive tackle and a four-star prospect by 247Sports … Also tabbed the No. 9 junior college player by 247Sports … Landed at No. 41 in the ESPN JC50 as the No. 6 offensive tackle … Selected first-team All-California Community College Region I as a freshman in 2016 … Also named first-team All-Bay 6 League … Helped lead a San Mateo offense that averaged 32.4 points per game, 408.8 total yards per game and 192.8 rushing yards per contest … Chose Oregon over Arizona State, Auburn, California, Fresno State, Hawaii, Memphis, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon State, Purdue, San Diego State, Syracuse, TCU, Utah, Utah State and Washington State.

Wow, those are not impressive stats for a No. 1 junior college player. Seems to be just taking up space.

Sometime a while back I decided to make 247 my go-to for the recruiting rankings, which puts us at 6, but a solid 6, and well above SC.

I have to say, even though I think I've said it before, the idea that our Ducks are up in that echelon of recruiting rankings is just about as magical as if my daughter's favorite flying ponies zoomed over our house trailing rainbows and glitter from behind their tails.

I would pinch myself, but I'm afraid I'd wake up.

    Love the analogy.
