  1. With all the speculation of Oregon leaving the Pac-12 sometime in the coming years, others might be moving also. The specter of San Diego State Leaving the Mountain West bubbled to the surface again this week, with a Yahoo Sports report that the American Athletic Conference has “engaged with” SDSU and Boise State “about potentially joining”. Remember it's just a rumor.
  2. Although the Pac-12 doesn't have a widely accepted CFP front-runner, the South Division should be a terrific race. USC hosts Utah and travels to Arizona State, which goes to Utah. That round robin of games is likely to determine the division winner. Oregon, Washington and Cal will likely be the primary contenders in the North Division. Washington hosts both Oregon and Cal, while Oregon is at home against Cal.
  3. Oregon at Ohio State (Sep. 11): Oregon has earned the Pac-12 crown in consecutive seasons, and Ohio State is the four-time reigning Big Ten champion. Ohio State begins the year at Minnesota, but this clash with Oregon is a critical test for the Buckeyes' new quarterback (CJ Stroud, Jack Miller or Kyle McCord).
  4. Interesting how Washington stayed home and in doing so locked up the "North" without having to play Oregon. Only to get trampled on by COVID-19. What a bizarre season is right.
  5. When you can't go down anymore the only direction Ducks baseball can go is "UP"
  6. The NCAA always seems to do what it takes to keep the players under its thumb, and re-establish itself as the "God" of college sports. (Sitting right next to ESPN and Alabama) Will it ever change ??
  7. You do raise an interesting question.
  8. For me, my expectations were higher then the results so far. With so many 5 star's and the hype, I expected better results. With three conference losses the girls have work to do this season.
  9. At the start of the season I thought we would be better then this.
  10. It would be nice to get to a steady complete OL rotation. Staying fresh and gaining experience for more guys on the way up.
  11. I'm always telling them what I think - - - during game time my TV gets more loud talk from me then all the rest of the week. But like you say "do they care ??"
  12. Softball is all about pitching just like football is all about recruiting.
  13. I just don't think we should promote this position from within. We need someone with National Playoff experience.
  14. All yellow and even the skid tape should be yellow. sorry no photo in sight.
  15. It's long past time to raise the level of this program to match the other great Oregon programs.
  16. You're correct, but after all this time it begs the question "why don't we know this by now ??"
  17. Going #2 in the NFL draft is better than going #6 for the NFL rookie of the year.
  18. IMO the Ducks are still shaking from the UCLA and Stanford losses. They need to clear their heads and move on. (Quickly)
  19. IMO a National Playoff berth for the Oregon Ducks is still at least "another season away". For 2021 the Oregon Ducks still have things to work on and correct before reaching the National Playoffs. 1) A sputtering offense, 2) a QB question, 3) a new defense to learn. True, the 2021 Oregon QB battle will have ramifications for years to come and right now its very much up in the air who will improve enough to get the call. To me a bigger question is "do you want to make a run at it now with Shough/Brown or wait and give Ty Thompson his shot ??" If Ty can show large potential it would be better to get him in the game as soon as possible (2021) because he will give us a three year run at it. Three years at QB is very beneficial for a program. A three year run would also give us time to get our DC in place, caught up and running smooth. All this providing our OC stays around for the fun. For the Pac-12 championship keep in mind that USC is on the way up and has fewer problems then Oregon right now. IMO, Oregon is sitting at #2 for the Pac-12 title.
