  1. What if it wasn't "COVID-19" but instead the "Black Plague", would that convince people to get the vaccination and document it ? Or what if all these people were walking through your house and breathing all over you and your family, would you want some assurance that they were vaccinated first? Public health does matter.
  2. Surprised to see Jim Mastro on the list. Must be the only reason he's on the payroll.
  3. Right now we don't know if Ty Thompson can save Oregon football, but we do know that no one else has a chance of doing it. Shough and Brown both had a good shot at it and both have come up short. Others in the barn could if given a chance but so far have not impressed the coaches enough to get on the field. One of the things Oregon has seen over the years from its great QB's, is the ability to display that greatness from early on. MM and JH have both shined as true freshmen so for Ty Thompson we should know early on if he is going to be the chosen one.
  4. A great guy moving up in the world. Congratulation, and wish him the best.
  5. Hard to get the East guys to "go West young man". IMO Aliotti is to much of a "bend but don't break" type and we need a "domination" type.
  6. I like Kelly Graves and am glad we have him. I also think he deserves the money - - - but then so do players.
  7. I like your attitude and agree with you. If you are the right coach then you should aggressively go after it.
  8. Couldn't happen to a better person. Congratulations Justin.
  9. I think we need to make sure that we get a guy that doesn't need a lot of time in "training" to be the DC and has the experience to do the play calling from day one. We already have one of our coaches in training for his job (our HC) and we can't spend a lot of years training a new DC.
  10. Oregon took their first lead of the second half off an Amauri Hardy and-1, and you have to wonder if these Ducks were the same ones we saw in the first period. The intensity, the ball-movement and effort on both ends of the floor were night-and-day from what we saw previously. However the combination of Allen and Jantunen were keeping Utah neck and neck, taking a 57-54 lead with just over ten minutes left.
  11. We don't need to "break-in" a defensive coach that has never been a play caller. That takes a lot of time and a lot of experimenting besides we are doing that with our HC. Kevin Steel, the former Auburn DC sounds like a good candidate. But do we have enough money for him to "go West young man".
  12. Justin Herbert is fighting 4 other rookies for the NFL Rookie of the Year award. Washington Football Team defensive Chase Young, the No. 2 overall pick out of Ohio State, is the only defender up for the award. The other finalists are Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson and Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor.
  13. Don't TE's have mostly blocking assignments with some pass routes thrown in from time to time ?? If he's in the game it would decrease the chances of the upcoming play being a run, a dead giveaway. Iowa State beat us in our bowl game with the help of their multiple oversized TE's. He might be better used like Dat was used back then.
  14. The Chargers only have one WR that is worth much (Allen) and he was injured at times this last season. They could use both some better OL to protect Justin and another WR that can catch Justin, not to mention some better defense.
  15. With a 0-10 record in mile high Colorado, the only thing I can say is the Ducks just aren't UP to it there.
  16. Pitiful, and it seems like the Pac-12 leaders are loving it that way, everyone afraid to say anything or take any action to correct it. Just milk it for all they can.
  17. It's always hard to "start over" and takes time to, once again, learn a new system.
  18. The Ducks are better off to forfeit the game then to play at Colorado. Talk about a monkey on the back.
