  1. Hopefully, this stops during the Lanning era and we don't see any more Ducks dropping the ball before crossing the goal line. Maybe the reason it's been so prevalent is due to coaches thinking their players certainly know better; and as a result, they didn't think there was a need to coach them up on basic things to definitely not do. To tie this in with the thread that asked who we thought would be the ESPN Game Day picker this week; I would have been really upset if ESPN had chosen Glen Powell, as Ducks QB, Russ Holiday--and wearing a #10 jersey--to be the Game Day picker. I haven't watched the Chad Powers show, but I believe it was supposedly a Rose Bowl game with Ohio State, where he dropped the ball just before crossing the goal line.
  2. Sixth Man, Fast PP would be a good guest picker; but likely being elevated to the starting 5 in Boston this year, the gash on his face and the need to be ready for their upcoming game, I would be surprised if he was the guest picker this time. Kenjon Barner was on the sidelines last week and in the latest Ducks vs Them video. So maybe they tab Kenjon for the spot this time. He's pretty relevant now. Neil Everett has a new sports show and worked for ESPN; so, it would be a way to promote his new show. However, I am going to guess they go with Kenjon Barner. I'm usually wrong on these things. But, that's my guess anyway.
  3. Thanks @Santa Rosa Duck for the heads-up quality comparisons. Like @David Marsh did, I picked up a TV antenna a few years ago and it allows us to pick up the network channels from Portland and Eugene. The bonus with watching the games on the antenna is that I/we can watch and already see the play, score, etc., 5-20 seconds before I hear my wife back in the bedroom yelling "touchdown," "interception," etc., on YT TV. We also have LG OLED setups and high-speed internet, as well as Peacock; and recently, I got Paramount+. Unfortunately, I won't be home at game time this weekend, and unable to watch live. Nonetheless, as an FYI, if you don't have Paramount+, it comes as an added benefit, if/when you sign up for a WalMart+ account. I am not an affiliate or providing a link. It's just a heads up that rather than paying extra for that streaming service, you can get it as an added free benefit; which I only discovered after getting WalMart+ a couple weeks ago. 😁
  4. I finally got around to reading this post a few minutes ago and I don't know if it is just my browser or not. However, under the photo that links to an article on SI.com, there's an unclickable large black box displayed; which I suspect was originally the YT image for the video. I right-clicked on it and discovered there is a link for that black box. So, in case it appears to be a black box to others, this is the link for the YT video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rj6hzUl81qY?feature=share
  5. Like @idontrollonshobbas said, I don't even recall hearing about him committing to the Ducks. That said, I do miss a few things here and there. Likewise, I think I share the same sentiment as many. He was a 2027 commit anyway ... and a WR. SWSWSW His decommitting could be to facilitate a search for a larger bag, staying closer to home, still really fickle and no real buy in on the Ducks, or it could also be he is thinking he might have to compete a lot harder in Eugene for a WR1 or WR2 spot. Not saying that this his thought process, but if the shoe fits ... it reminds me of an old Ziglar quote, "if you think you are indispensable, put your finger in a bowl of water and then pull it out and see how long the hole lasts."
  6. Play clean like we did last week. But this week we play to our standard. We didn't do that last week!
  7. "I think Austin can go, but his lat (latissimus dorsi) has been bothering him a little bit. He's been able to practice, but we're just trying to limit it, limit him, and get him in a position where he'd be able to go again." Sounds like it could be a few weeks or maybe less, maybe more?? https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/football/2025/09/08/oregon-ducks-dan-lanning-quarterback-injury-update/86051641007/
  8. W = Oregon Score = 41 - 16 OSU has a good kicker so I think they could get one TD and 3 FGs - Ducks get 5 TDs and 2 FGs TO = 3 OSU has a new QB, good OL, good WRs and probably a weak running game - which should be a good opportunity for some TOs Sacks = 3 OSU has a new QB Passing = 243 Last week run/pass was even AND OSU has a new DC with improved run/pass defenses over last year (at least against UT Martin, anyway)
  9. I saw another take on this by Marshall Scott of Pistols Firing; saying he thought it was more of a nothing burger ... and then went on to explain why. Actually, both DL and Gundy gave each other a bunch of props in their initial comments. However, it was the sensational sound bytes that got all the media attention. https://pistolsfiringblog.com/three-things-oregon-coach-dan-lanning-said-ahead-of-osus-trip-to-eugene/ I think it certainly worked to garner a lot of attention for this week's matchup. Go Ducks!
  10. I'm hopeful they choke against FSU and the Gators, too. I figured they would haven't have to take the steps and as anticipated, be given an elevator lift to a spot above OBD. If I am not mistaken, I think they went 3 and out on 4 or 5 straight possessions in the second half of that game against ND. Plus, I think ND was way overrated to start. They really struggled and Miami did beat them, but it was not an impressive win. Oh yeah, and don't get me started on Joe Moorehead going MIA in Palo Alto, and Mario's abrupt exit stage left.
  11. I don't know if you heard about the comments Mike Gundy made about the Ducks needing to play opponents who spend similar amounts on NIL. But, you gotta love Dan Lanning's ability to call someone out for talking out of both sides of their mouth ... and do it amicably. I liked this comment especially. "Some people save [??] to have an excuse for why they don’t [win]." https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/breaking-news/article/we-spend-to-win-oregon-coach-dan-lanning-responds-after-mike-gundy-notes-how-much-the-ducks-spend-on-their-football-roster-130730546.html
  12. MicroBurst61, I agree with you on all accounts. OBD has an incredible video production crew. I've enjoyed every one of their videos.
  13. The first episode of 2025 Ducks vs Them has dropped. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGDWKW45kxY
