  1. Very cool, and very deserving...
  2. Seems they want the B1G to know that the Wolverines will still make an impact? Oregon has a Big-House visit!
  3. Make that SIXTEEN Spammers stopped since February 1st, as we had two more attempt to penetrate our registration system. One was from West Bengal India, while the other was from Mandaluyong City, Philippines. West Bengal India....
  4. Yep, and they discovered another new revenue stream to steal from the other prior Pac-12 members. I will discuss in a future article...so disgusting!
  5. A really nice analysis, an interesting one about him. Maybe I'm wrong!
  6. I don't know enough about the NFL to make a suggestion, but boy...we have seen that the right matchup is everything for a quarterback. As much as I love what Bo Nix has done for Oregon...I have my doubts about him at the next level. He does not throw a long ball as consistently accurate as we would have liked, and I believe it is a reason why Will Stein toned down his long-ball attack from UTSA to Oregon. I also wonder if Bo has the arm for all the NFL throws, but that is for their analysts to decide upon. Alex, I like your reasoning of going to a team with a good QB coach, but I wonder out loud if Denver isn't turning into what Detroit was to Joey Harrington? It will be fun to watch, and we will all be cheering for Bo.
  7. The half-of-the-time that I am right....I remind people until I am insufferable. My track record with Chip Kelly is pretty good, and below is what I wrote before he began at UCLA..."I see good seasons at Westwood, (8 or 9 wins max, Mora or less) but not contending for National Championships as Chip did at Oregon." Will Chip Kelly Avoid the OREGON MISTAKES at UCLA? | FishDuck FISHDUCK.COM Charles Fischer of FishDuck.com wonders aloud if Chip Kelly can avoid many of mistakes he made in Eugene that could be easily averted … if he wants to. UCLA Fawns: Lies, Damned Lies and Chip Kelly Offensive Narratives... FISHDUCK.COM Charles Fischer of FishDuck.com reviews reasons why the Chip Kelly offense will and won’t be successful at UCLA. Chip Kelly will not average over 35 points per game in 2024, and that is with a lighter schedule. At minimum? Will Stein will average more points-per-game at Oregon than Chip will with Ohio State. (Think about that statement for a moment....whew!)
  8. Sorry...NOT SOLD, for a couple of reasons. 1. When I did my Analysis videos of his offense at Oregon, the emphasis was to do the No-Huddle to RUN the ball better. The Spread Offense to RUN the ball better, and now he is going to Ohio State where they have had sophisticated passing offenses over the recent years? Can he coach that? At Oregon...our only small weakness on offense under him was on third and long, because we were not as skilled a Drop-Back passing team as others. Chip's primary passing attack was play-action off the run threat, and that is not enough these days--as evidenced at his time at UCLA. 2. No matter what is said about "less" recruiting? Baloney. The OC is critical in QB and WR recruiting; Will Stein has killed it with his high school QB AND Portal QB recruiting in just being here a year. Is Chip going to be able to attract QBs to tOSU with his track record? I am grateful to have this OC....
  9. Better odds to win the 'Natty than Alabama, LSU and Michigan? It is fun when Josh Pate loves us...
  10. We did well against them...please don't hire the WSU coach!
  11. Updated batting averages right here, and you gotta see this...
  12. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Jacob Walsh crushed a grand slam in the fourth inning that led Oregon baseball to an 8-5 victory over Arizona State on Sunday to win the first Pac-12 ser...
  13. Our starting pitchers are not strong, and frankly...we've had a ton more fielding errors than I am used to seeing from Oregon Baseball. But the bats have improved a ton in the last few weeks, and I am hopeful that the new starting pitchers will improve. Coach Waz is figuring out an infield that has fewer errors, and that takes some time to balance defensive skills with the best bats. Anson Aroz is making it hard to keep him out of the lineup somewhere...he started at catcher, but with Bennett Thompson doing so well--he's played in Right Field, and even First Base!
  14. Ducks lost in the ninth inning on Friday to Arizona State, won the game in the ninth inning on Saturday, and today grabbed the lead and did not falter. I groaned when Jacob Walsh came to the plate with two outs and bases loaded, because he has a tough time hitting the low breaking ball...and I feared another strikeout. We needed some runs, being down by two...and then he hits a GRAND SLAM home run. Shows what I know! Great to see Logan Mercado, the pride of the Tri-Cities in Washington, come in and finish off two and third innings for the save. I recall when he got here as a freshman--he got shelled often that first year, as he did not have any high-velocity fast balls, and only had a diving breaking ball that everyone figured out. Now...he has that breaking ball, but has also built his arm to where he threw fastballs at 93 mph today and when combined with his quick wind-up...it can catch batters by surprise. More coming later, but it was a good start to Pac-12 play with a series win. Next up are the Portland Pilots on Tuesday at 5:05 PM, and then a home series starting on Friday against the Cal Bears, who beat Stanford on Tuesday, and has already clinched their series this weekend with UCLA! Should be a GREAT series... Jacob Walsh
  15. The new registration process is below, and if you could go into your profile and update it--we can then serve you better! And you can see how there are too many questions and areas that trip up the Spammers and Trolls. Only true Duck fans, and opposing fans of good nature need apply!
  16. Hello my Duck-Buddies, How Are the Two Sites Doing? (FishDuck.com and the Our Beloved Ducks Forum) Profitable? Not a chance, but the good news is that the backlinks placed in FishDuck articles, and the advertising on both sites are able to pay the expenses of the two sites without taking money out of my own pocket. I wish it was better, but I am counting my blessings to have all the costs covered by the sites themselves. Traffic? It was fantastic through football season, and now is much slower, as usual in the off-season. Do post your thoughts, and if you tried to post in the past and got a note from me about doing the process differently? Forget about that now...just start a thread and we'll take it any way it comes in order to get the Oregon football news out, and start the discussions. So POST! People sometimes feel "I must know football better." Baloney. We all are right about half-the-time, even when we think we know a ton; the key is sharing your opinion so that we all learn from each other. Trolls Have No Chance New Features? I have created extra work for myself, but new registrations have to be personally approved by the "Big-Fish," and while extra time is spent, it has some big benefits. I've got to know a few newbies when asked for more information to approve them, but the biggest impact is how we have now stopped the Spammers in their tracks. No AI is going to penetrate our new registration process! In a post below are images showing all that new registrants have to provide to sign up. The good news is that it has really helped to be able to contact people when needed, but it also reveals the Spammers in a heartbeat, as they cannot fill out all the data correctly as a true Oregon fan. I've also caught a few Trolls this was as well... Remember--on Thanksgiving evening we had a coordinated attack on the forum from a ton of Spammers, and had not our trusted moderators stopped them....Spammers would have filled the entire front page of posts with ad-spam posts, and it would have continued for another 15 pages back! Bottom Line on Spammers We have stopped 14 Spammers in their tracks with the new registration process in the last 40 days. Whew! The time upfront by yours-truly saves a ton of time later for all moderators and OBD member frustration. The Countries Trying to Penetrate the Our Beloved Ducks Forum Russia Red China Ukraine Belarus US (Philly and Florida) Germany France Netherlands Italy India And that is just since February 1st....imagine the attacks of the future that will be thwarted! Can You Help? What we have is special, but we need more volunteers to make this free site operate as we love. Can you help? Email me charles@fishduck.com and let's see if there is a matchup for your time and interest. Thanks to you all for making this a GREEN REFUGE. All the sports news unlike anywhere....there is NO data aggregator, link site, or any site that has as much Oregon Sports News posted as at the Our Beloved Ducks forum. Oregon Sports News, and civilized discussion? It is my nirvana my Duck Buddies...
  17. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM Jeffery Heard hit a two-run home run in the top of the ninth to give Oregon the lead
  18. Really? The most injuries of any team in America and 20 wins is BAD? Seniors Lift Ducks to Victory in Regular Season Finale EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon men’s basketball escaped Matthew Knight Arena with a 66-65 victory on senior night. With nine minutes and eleven seconds left in the game, senior guard Jermaine Couisnard lobbed a pass to senior center N’Faly Dante, who finished with an emphatic slam to give Oregon a 54-53 lead and momentum. The lead change proved to be the last of the game, as Dante and company found a way down the stretch to end senior night on a high note. The Ducks built a five-point lead, but began to struggle to find points, as time winded down. Oregon found themselves relying on defense in the final minutes, holding Utah to just one field goal in their last eight attempts on the night. The Utes had one last look at the buzzer that fell short, leaving Oregon victorious. How it Happened: Oregon guard Jackson Shelstad was once again a catalyst for the Ducks early, scoring eight-straight as the Ducks raced out to an early 15-5 lead. Utah utilized hot shooting to get back into the game, draining six 3-pointers on 50-percent shooting from the floor in the first half. A 10-2 run by the Utes pulled them in front and they led by five as the game reached the halfway point. The teams traded blows out of the locker room with Utah using back-to-back layups to build its lead up to eight. Oregon grouped together to score 11 of the games’ next 13 points, pulling back in front on a layup from Kwame Evans Jr. with 13 minutes left in the game. Ute guard Hunter Erickson put a stop to the Duck run by cashing in back-to-back shots from deep, swinging the momentum once again. His team trailing by five, Dante converted a look down low before an acrobatic layup by Brennan Rigsby cut the lead, 53-52, as the game entered its final 10 minutes. Dante continued his takeover of the game as he caught a lob from Couisnard and slammed it home over a Ute defender to reclaim the lead and electrify Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks went back to the Dante-Couisnard pick-and-roll on the next possession, this time ending in another lob that ended in a layup with the foul. After Dante failed to convert the free throw, Evans Jr. battled for the offensive rebound and gave it right back to the big man who finished at the rim again, capping a 10-0 run. The teams went bucket-for-bucket across the next four minutes as Oregon fought to maintain a six-point lead with 4:06 left on the clock. Utah’s Gabe Madsen sank a 3-pointer to cut the lead in half on the next possession, and after both teams were unable to find buckets the Utes stepped to the free-throw line with 38 seconds remaining and a chance to cut the lead to one. Deivon Smith cashed in on both attempts, and the Ducks took the ball down for their final possession. After dribbling the clock down, Couisnard attacked the rim but was unable to convert as Utah collected the defensive rebound with eight-seconds left. Electing not to call a timeout, the Utes advanced the ball up the court and swung the ball around to find an open shooter in the corner, but the buzzer-beater attempt hit off of the iron to give Oregon, and its seniors, a final win at home this season. Up Next: Oregon has earned the fourth seed in the 2024 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament and will play its quarterfinal game on March 14 at 2:30 p.m. PT in Las Vegas.
  19. Good gosh. I've listened to UPMTEEN live stream broadcasts from opposing teams, and while they are catering to their fans, they are still "polite and respectful" to Duck fans. Not on this Live-Stream. ASU has a proud Baseball tradition, but has not done anything in years, not to mention their last-luster 7-7 record to date. Yet everything was over-the-top-wonderful for Sun Devil fans listening, and....gosh, I wanted Oregon to win! More coming, but the Ducks scrapped and fought, with some interesting side stories. Next game on Sunday at noon our time. Go to DoDucks.com, then Baseball, then Schedule and click on the "ASU Live Stream" and it will take you to the game. On Friday, the university that promotes their Majors for broadcasting and television had numerous black-outs on their Live-Stream. The game does come back later if it happens again. (Tonight was fine)
  20. Yep, but last year they moved back up to the middle of the conference with their new coach, yet are at the bottom of the conference at the end of non-conference games this season. Injuries perhaps?
  21. Absolutely, in 2025. The SEC has an incredible SIX of the top ten teams in this week's D1 poll, while there is huge opportunity in the B1G in Baseball for Oregon to be a dominant player over time. My prediction was that starting next year--the B1G Baseball title would be ruled by Oregon or UCLA The Ducks fit in so well as a "cold-weather" team who can flourish regardless of the climate. By our move to the B1G....we will no longer have to play Pac-12 Baseball mainstays such as Oregon State, Arizona and Stanford. Sub into the schedule the B1G teams, and you have a TON of winning for our Ducks!
