Ducks blow it open in the 8th inning, and lead 15-5! Chase Meggers is having a DAY!

Ducks up 8-4 after seven innings due to this three-run home run by Chase Meggers! He has really come on...

Ducks still lead 5-4 after six innings, and a run was saved by an incredible throw from left field by Justin Cassella to home plate for the out!

Sigh. After five innings it is 5-4 Oregon.

After four innings, Oregon continues to lead 5-1.

After three innings...Oregon leads 5-1! We were at this same spot and score yesterday...but today is new day. Right?

Ducks lead 2-1 after two innings. Maddox Molony made a fantastic play at shortstop, as he dove and got a grounder on a perfect anticipation of the bounce and rolled, jumped up and fired to first base for the out!

I call it as I see it, and unfortunately was right.

The inning, the pain, would not end. A terrible, terrible night for Oregon pitchers, as Stanford leads 19-6 after eight innings. Wowsa. Where are my IPAs?

10-7 Stanford after 7.5 innings.

End of seventh inning, down 10-5 with Featherston in relief,

No change after six innings.

Good Gosh, they left Gordon in! 9-5 Cardinal after five innings.

Ducks up 4-1 after three innings! Excellent plate discipline, as a number of Oregon batters starting 0-2, made great decisions to walk or get a hit. ‘Furd pitcher has a VERY high pitch count.

After two innings, Oregon leads 2-1. We have had some excellent fielding which prevented more scoring as we caught a base runner between first and second, and a fantastic throw from left field by Chase Meggers to get the runner trying to stretch to second!

I found out that tonight is Stanford's annual "Fireworks Night," and I hope that ends up being the Oregon bats! The Ducks send out RJ Gordon (5-2) 3.58 ERA vs. the 'Furd's Matt Scott, (2-6) 3.93 ERA. I checked the stats on both teams for batting, and here is what I found: Stanford has four batters over .300 with one knocking on the door. Oregon has seven batters over .300 with one knocking on the door. (I need to add that not all of the seven play at the same time) Let's Go Ducks! Double Play!
