Yes, that title caught my attention to John's article today. The summary I can give you is... --In June, there was "feeling no time pressure" to the Pac-12 Media contract. But on Tuesday, one member of the CEO Group told John on Tuesday: “The room just shifted.” --What does that mean? Canzano admits he has no idea, and we are all just guessing. --He does not expect any announcements before, or during the Pac-12 meetings in a week. --One member of the Pac-12 CEO Group about the media deal: “All good, but our timing is not being driven by media narratives or others’ deadlines.” (SDST's deadline, I'm sure) --Canzano: "It feels to me as if the Pac-12 knows something the rest of us don’t." Hello My Duck-Buddies, I am thinking about putting together a place, a restaurant separate room or at a hotel in Eugene/Springfield for those who would like to meet these great OBD community members. This would be on the Friday night before the USC game, thus on November 10th. We would open it up at 4:00 PM, so that anyone who wants to come down from Portland to meet others--has the time later to drive back before it gets too late. (Old farts like I think of stuff like that) The party would last as long as we do! We have some people coming from the east coast for this game, and thought it would be fun to put some faces with the handle-names and share some laughs and lies with one-another. I'm thinking of having some food, (sponsored by FishDuck ads) and a no-host bar. 1. Are you interested in coming? 2. If you live locally--if I need a hand--can you help? 3. We might have a short analysis presentation to spur some discussion as well--just pondering. What say YOU? When I gave an analysis presentation for a group years ago... This could be great fun! I personally like it inside the 20 yard line, but what I also love is how it messes with their mind. It will begin to sow seeds of doubt..."what else has Oregon got up their sleeve?" I was watching the Bowl game again the other night, and Marcus Harper was making some GREAT blocks both inside, and smashing DEs on the edge when he pulled. He filled in for when Steven Jones got hurt, and now has turned into more than just a potential starter, as he was at guard most of last season, but can now also play center. With all the transfers--he might be the overlooked candidate to start? I love my offensive linemen...
